A longtime customer of Carter's I was sorely disappointed with my in-store customer experience today at the Yonge-Eglinton centre. I received a gift online and wanted to exchange 3 items. However, the items that I really wanted were only available online. Thus, I figured I would have to return the original 3 items in-store, receive a store credit, and then purchase the desired items online - a headache, but not impossible. Upon presenting my shipped gift receipt, I was incorrectly told that I would not be able to ecchange the items for store credit. After much debate, the manager corrected the sales associate and the sales associate returned the items and credited me the amount onto a Carter's gift card. I then went home and tried to order the desired items online and was told my gift card had zero balance! And this is despite receiving a printout with the "balance" on the gift card. I called the store and was told that I would have to go back in-person so they could rectify the situation. In the store, the manager was unable to understand why the gift card wouldn't work online (however, I showed her a screen-grab to confirm my story). She tried to contact Head Office by phone, but after being placed on hold for more than 30 minutes, they hung up on her. Rather than risk being given another faulty gift card I simply exchanged the items for whatever was on the floor (not a great selection and I actually had to pay an additional $7 to cover the difference). In short, the process of obtaining 3 kids fleece sleepers took 1 online order, 2 in-person trips to the store and one failed online order and I didn't even get the items I really wanted. Carter's, I expect better from you.

It is one of the good options for babies and small kids shopping. Quality is good but price are little higher.

I have purchased clothes for my daughter from Carter's in this location using the Yonge Eglinton Center gift card ( which is also accepted in many stores within the premises) . However the new staff at Carter's did not know how to accept the payment in their system and simply rejected my card saying it is not acceptable in this store. I showed them the payment history of the same card, but the cashier was extremely rude and just rejecting the card, which clearly shows that they were not trained how to apply different payment options in their system. Staff needs more trainings in customer service!!
