V	Vel Mano on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came here twice in the past month. The first time, I ordered special chicken fried rice and an order of wave wings. The special chicken fried rice was okay. But the wave wings weren't even warm, forget freshly cooked. It's like they were made a couple hours in advance and someone cancelled and they were waiting for someone else to buy. I've had STRAIGHT OUT OF THE FRYER WAVE WINGS HERE. This was dry and barely warm. But I fixed it. 2 minutes in the microwave and it was okay. Normally you'd expect food to be cooked to order. But whatever. The second time, today, same chicken fried rice and curry goat roti. Nothing special with the chicken fried rice. But oh my, you ever had rubbery roti and bones in your BONELESS CURRY GOAT ROTI. I almost had to see the dentist cause that bone messed up the inside of my mouth. I AM DONE WITH THIS PLACE. Almost $30 on a roti and fried rice, no drinks. I knew this place wasn't busy, by the millions of times I drive by here on my way to work. But that first visit this month, when this black guy was talking to the old Indian man owner and telling him 'Once people get their tax refunds, they'll come spend it here.' and was trying hard not to laugh and the owner looking gloomy and sad...that just confirmed my suspicion. This place raised their prices more than homes have this short past while. The food quality or portions or whatever has NOT made up the difference. Ppl are just not going to fork over this money for mediocre food. It was good back then, not anymore. I said what I said.

Ordered a jerk wave fried rice. The jerk chicken was a little dry, probably was sitting for a while but wasnt bad just not aa fresh juicy as i remembered. What trumped the chicken was the fried rice. The portion is so generous 2 people could have eaten. The rice was amazing chock full of chicken beef and shrimp (not deveined btw). Rice was fresh and tasty just the right flavours. Oh how ive missed caribbean wave.
T	Tiger Lilly on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Take out is 15m. Location looks empty when you pull up but it's busy. Folks are in and out picking up orders incl catering. I wouldn't get jerk chicken again but would def get the wave fish, nice and spicy. Chow mein was good.

This is the one fried rice where I eat all of the vegetables with no complaint because texture and flavor is spot on. If you are like me, if I am passing through Toronto, we buy several orders to drive back to Ottawa as we cannot find food like this in the nation's capital.
