Portions of fish aren't huge but there's lots of chips and the flavour is authentic. I bet the owner hasn't changed the oil in decades God love him and it helps transform probably poor quality fish into delicious fried battered goodness

Not sure if they have tables for sit down dining during non covid time, but not now. The guy helping me out was polite and efficient. I ordered the halibut fish and chips, with a side of coleslaw and gravy. All this for $10. The halibut was on a much smaller portion, with plenty of chips to fill you up to make up for the little halibut (size matters). The gravy was watery. The coleslaw was more sweet and vinegary instead of creamy (but refreshing in a surprising way). The fish and chips were wrapped up in the traditional way - with newspaper. But for $10, I will go back.

It's a small, old-school, mom and pop shop. There was a picture of the menu from a few years back that I found online that said Halibut fish & chips was only $8. I thought...no way, it can't be that cheap! You could get a piece of Halibut alone for $5. Insanity in this day and age! We called to confirm, and learned that the price had gone up....to $5.50! $5.50 for a piece of Halibut is incredible! We placed an order, and my partner picked it up. It's cash online, so make sure to bring money with you. I had a piece of fish and the coleslaw. The coleslaw was okay and had a sweetness to it. Although the fish itself didn't look like it was some fancy homemade batter, for $5.50, I really couldn't complain b/c it was still tasty. The owner of the shop was really friendly and personable as well. I'm not surprised this place has been in business for 15+ years!

The batter is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside in perfect balance with the fish. It being takeout only is important for the flavor. The paper wrapping soaks up the oil while it cools down so after a bit of a walk it is just right. Someday in the next decade they will probably knock down that whole block and we will lose something irreplaceable.

Stale fries and sooooo oily. The fish itself was two tiny pieces. Got a side of wings as well and those were okay. I got 1 pack of tartar sauce for the order lol but I guess it makes sense with the fish portion...I get it that it's a small business and I definitely wanted to support it but if I'm waiting the time to have it cooked, I don't get why they have pre-fried food available to re-fry instead of frying it fresh per order. Moral of the story, not worth it at all.

For the Price this is an Awesome place for Halibut and Chips especially seeing the price of Halibut is at $33/lb. My 3pcs + 1 chip was only $22....
