Awful, took 35 minutes to get a cab on a Sunday night after the guy on the phone said it was on its way. No discount or apology. Just frustrating.

Never on time, always 5-15 minutes late despite calling ahead and specifying a time. Very accommodating with my service dog though, which is always appreciated.

During a very emotional time with a family emergency The driver was an absolute comforting ride back to Port Hope I truly hope Capital appreciates him Once again so many thanks to him!!!

I used Capitol Taxi after completing therapy for my brain injury & was travelling home, app. a 50 minute. I had a gut feeling that it wasn't going to be a relaxing & comfortable ride after the driver stopped by the side of the road and had me pay for the trip while only minutes away from the therapy clinic! There was also issues with the payment machine, which the driver kept opening & removing the battery & then placing it back in. I used my credit card to pay the expensive fee & handed the driver the machine when my card was approved. It showed a yellow smiley face & the automated voice told me to hand the machine back. The driver told me that it didn't go through as there was nothing there, jestering with his hands at the machine to show that there was no receipt. I told him that it was approved, but he continued to argue that it wasn't so he processed the transaction a second time, at which point a receipt was given. He then assured me again that the first one didn't go through & that the second did as I received the receipt. However, my gut told me otherwise. I wasn't comfortable with what happened & asked the driver if he could check with his boss, as he did so earlier to confirm the cost of the trip, & he told me that he couldn't. He became irritated & told me that I wasn't charged a second time and that he had no way of contacting anyone. I would also like to mention that there was a partition between us & a small square opening in which to converse. However, he couldn't hear well and I found myself repeating information to him & then just giving up as I too was feeling frustrated. I could also feel my concussion symptoms kicking in and causing me pain. I tried to relax and decided to call my credit card company numerous times during the ride as I figured if I could get a confirmation that I was charged twice the driver may be able to avoid the second transaction going through. Unfortunately, I couldn't connect with my credit card company, which just added to the stress. It wasn't until I got home & called again that I was able to speak to someone & learn that my instincts were correct. I paid TWICE. Both transactions were approved. The agent told me that there wasn't anything that I could do until the taxi co. accepts the transactions or accepts one & denies the other; only then could I file a dispute to retrieve the funds, which was upsetting especially after paying over $150 AND having to ensure a less than pleasant ride home. I decided to contact the taxi company & eventually got through to Bob (as they don't always answer their phones) who was nice/friendly & worked with me to refund the transaction. When I mentioned to Bob what happened he questioned why the driver didn't issue a reprint, whereby I would receive a receipt. This would have been sooo much easier. In addition, the travel home was one of the most uncomfortable & stressful rides that I have ever taken. The driver took a longer alternative route to get to Hwy. 115 when he could have made ONE left turn on a street that lead directly to the 115! Instead, I had the displeasure of sitting through a longer drive & plenty of turns! The driver also drove quite fast in certain areas especially at an intersection when the light turned green, which added to the stress that I was already feeling. I was at the Brain Injury Clinic prior & was feeling good. My symptoms were manageable & not causing me pain. I told the driver that I had a brain injury & went to therapy at the clinic, after he asked. I thought this information would make driver understand to be more mindful when driving. Unfortunately, it didn't. He avoided taking the simpler route to the 115, speed, press down on the gas at green lights, disputed the approval of the transaction & dealt with loud car noise. I was so tense & upset during the ride that it triggered my symptoms & causing a lot of pain, even though I didn't show it. It took me a LONG time to calm my body down & I'm still experiencing painful symptoms the next day! It feels like I didn't even go to therapy. : (

The cab we ordered on our way to something was fine, arrived on time and driver was nice. We called to have one pick us up at 2am and we waited outside in -16 for 35 minutes, no show. We even called to check and they said it was on its way. Note: we called over an hour in advance to have the cab come for 2. Thankfully we were able to find another way home, but what if the cab was our only way? Also, very expensive. The dispatcher wasn’t that nice either. Looking at other reviews, Im going to have to consider other services. If the mayor is so adamant on this company over Uber, make it as good as Uber.

Fast arrival but decided to take the longest route possible to get back to destination. Costing us 30$ when it should have Been only 20$ for a 12 min(not even) taxi ride. Ended up looking at the route our driver took last night and not sure why he decided to skip a couple of the main roads that lead back home that were the quickest option. Disappointing.

Booked a wheel chair accessible taxi for a 2 way trip and they showed up the second time with a regular van and said we were SOL. They made it seem like it was our fault/mix up. How ridiculous is that…screwed us over for the night. Great job….

I called for my daughter who’s phone battery was low, explaining that we were both nervous about her taking a taxi by herself for the first time. The man on the phone was so kind and reassuring. He sent the kindest driver, as promised and my daughter arrived safe and sound after a long and frustrating day. We will definitely use this taxi service again!
