β β β β β Been here many years. They have a great on site team who keep the property safe, secure and very clean. Tenants are respectful of others' work hours and easy to live with. Myself, I like city view, having a walking distance to the University, River Valley , downtown or Whyte Ave and if I am driving in our out of the city, the major routes are right there.

β β β β β Try to avoid this company if you are willing to stay for over one year!!! The management and policy of this building is awful for current tenant. They have many policies that do not make any common sense. On the website, it says 6 months and 12 months term for every lease. But when I want to transfer to another suite and am willing to pay full price with no incentives, no Telus, they told me the lease has to be 12 months only. How come every single thing changed once I chose to move in???

β β β β β My apartment is absolutely freezing in the winter. Heat is supposed to be included, but it's always set to minimum and they won't do anything about it. They even tried to convince me I wasn't really that cold and that some people like to not be too warm in the winter. Sure. The carpet in my apartment also clearly hasn't been replaced in ages and it's gross and dirty and smells. For the price, at least it should be clean and reasonably warm.

β β β β β Overall I am satisfied with Boarderwalk-Captial, especially regarding its swift maintenance when called upon. However, the building does have structural flaws: walls are very hallow, so not only can you smell whatever your neighbour is cooking or doing (i.e smoking) you can hear every conversation (or screaming, or domestic dispute) and noise that takes place which means no privacy. It seems there is no concrete or a lick of insulation that separates the neighbours rather just wood and drywall. Secondly, the plumbing in the building is not up to update so expect bursting of pipes in the hallways or your own suite during the winter. Pack all your things off the floor if your heading out of town too. Furthermore, for every tap that is turned on from your neighbours (i.e. shower, duvet, kitchen) you will also hear it as if it is your own tap. The last issue I have with the building are its rules regarding cigarette and marijuana use. I personally have nothing against anyone who partakes in such, but I feel like Boarderwalk is not strict enough in prohibiting residents from doing so inside their suite. As I mentioned the walls are less than a pixel thick so smelling what someone is smoking will happen and it is absolutely offensive and frustrating. On top of that, if someone above you is smoking you can unfortunately smell it in your own suite too. Once again, I warn you, this building has structural flaws.

β β β β β Roschelle Alejado is awesome!!! Building is clean and maintenance people are friendly and hard workers. Happy to call this place home!!! Great view of downtown and close to the River Valley with it's many walking trails!!!

β β β β β I enjoy living here as the building management staff are extremely welcoming and caring. Any issues I have faced so far, were immediately addressed by the management team. The maintenance team are professional and respectful. I would highly recommend Capital View Tower to anyone wanting to find a good rental near Whyte Avenue.

β β β β β I have been here 25 + years. The building is well run, clean and the Management Teams have been easy to work with over the years.
I just learned our current Site Manager has received a new , larger assignment and I wish her all the best. Roschelle has been very diligent in the day in day out tasks required to run a large property effectively, always available, always taking prompt action and always very cordial on a personal level.

β β β β β This building is clean, safe and well looked after. The staff work hard to make this a good place to live. We REALLY appreciate Roschelle in the rental office; she goes out of her way to help tenants resolve issues, manages to balance a lot of tasks in a way that looks effortless. Always a pleasure interacting with the building staff who are industriously cleaning and maintaining daily. Building has great views of downtown - Canada Day fireworks from your balcony and steps from the river valley: a good place to call home.
