Professional service with an excellent assortment of fabrics. The owner works directly with customers and has good advice on which fabrics are suitable for your upholstery needs (ie indoor or outdoor, living room vs other areas in the home, etc). If you have furniture you love but need an update like I did, this is an excellent, small business, family owned and operated. I tried a few of the other well known upholstery services in North Vancouver but non of them were open on the weekends so for working parents like us, that is not convenient.

I have dealt with Alena, the owner of Capilano Custom interiors in the past and she appeared to be a reasonable person. After an experience this week, I would never darken her door again and I warn any patrons to beware of the way she conducts business. I dropped into her store to return a fabric sample. I had not been there for 2 minutes and as we discussed an upholstery matter she "presumed" that I was saying something else to her and started screaming at me. I did my very best to remain composed, knowing that this pandemic has created some very trying times for Everyone, but it became abusive. I left, very upset. I had entered her door only 5 minutes before in a very good mood. The next day she called my phone blaming me for not paying her funds on a small job. How was I to know when I registered the payment through the bank that her cell phone number on the receipt had been taken out of commision years before?! Why did she not update her receipts? I offered to send the money again immediately to her again. Truthfully, I was shaking my head, thinking are you kidding? She was very nasty, blaming me again for her lack of updating her information. While on the phone I attempted to address the conversation the day before, once again, explaining that I know the covid epedemic has really been trying on everyone and if she was stressed the day before, could we now have a civil conversation. She blew up at me again! Alena's reaction was completely unjustified. The issue was small. She is very Rude and does not deserve business from Anyone until she gets a handle on how to treat customers. No one deserves to be treated badly.
