Things started off well. We had done some private sessions previously, and then booked to take the first training class. During the course of the classes we missed a few classes for travel. We didn't think this was a problem since there was the option of purchasing make up classes. After we got back we booked our first make-up class, of two, and came in for our session. This is unfortunately when things went poorly. Ron was rushed and disinterested. He mentioned he had booked our session on a bad night where he was supposed to go out with family. We didn't cover the missing class commands, just rushed through all commands (some we didn't know) and he cut the lesson 10 minutes short so he could get out of there. He was practically pushing us out the door. At the end he blindsided us and said that this session was our "test" and we failed and actually laughed in our faces telling us he would never let us move on to the second class and we would have to repeat the novice course. It was the single rudest experience we have had with a professional. Our 1/2 make up classes became the pass/fail test, and we failed. Of course... we missed two classes and were paying to make them up. There are many good reviews on here, but just wanted to share this word of caution.

Cannot thank Ron enough! he saved us and our reactive rescue dog Beau from the stress of nonstop barking , biting us, and turning a simple walk into a stress filled nightmare. He dealt with our issue quickly and professionally, explaining everything and not trying to sell us this and that like other places we had been to with no results just wasted money. I would highly recomend Ron and his company to anyone in need of help with their dog. 10 out of 10!!!!

After getting our rescue girl Abby, we knew we needed professional help working through her issues (especially since she's an 80lb strong tough dog). Canine Balance came highly recommended, and I know why! Ron and his team know how to handle the 'tough' dogs, and also speak truths to pet owners. We've seen a lot of positive changes in Abby since basic obedience, and she loves going weekly to day school! Ron gives you tips and tricks on how to train your dog for every day life, not just while at school and with a pocket full of treats. I can't thank Ron and his team enough!

We truly enjoyed and benefited from our time at Canine Balance. We have trained at other facilities but Canine Balance is the best! As first time dog owners we needed help on how to deal with our puppy’s rambunctious personality and how to be effective at making him listen. Ron is very knowledgeable, patient and supportive. His positive reinforcement training methods are very effective. With Ron’s guidance we were amazed how quickly Mr. Jimmy became the dog we’ve always wanted. Mr. Jimmy completed the Novice, Intermediate, and Scent classes at Canine Balance. We bring Mr. Jimmy to Ron’s Day School where he gets plenty of socialization, pack walks, play, and training. He absolutely loves spending time there. I trust Ron and his team completely. I highly recommend Canine Balance!

I can't recommend Canine Balance Training (and Ron) more highly! My Havanese, Sadie, has gone through the puppy classes, day school 1-2 times per week, and we are now completing the intermediate group classes. Ron and his team are great at working with the dogs, and he is always available for tips and suggestions to address specific issues. The group classes are great for both canine and adult socialization! As a result of the training I have also been able to bring Sadie into work with me. She is not only social with my patients, but she lays down calmly beside my desk while I work. You can most definitely trust your furry family members to Ron and Canine Balance Training!

Covid & a new cancer diagnosis in the family prevented us from properly socializing our LolliPup who naturally has a bit of a timid personality. Our nervousness to keep Covid away made her fear worse. She developed a loud, aggressive sounding bark although we knew she would never hurt a flee. Mr. Ron, as we affectionately refer to the Canine Balance owner worked with Lolli to overcome her fear. The Day Care Staff also encouraged her to relate to the other dogs. Lolli is much more confident now. She will never be outgoing but she does enjoy some dogs and has learned to just walk on by a dog she does not want to interact with. We can't say enough good about Canine Balance Dog School. We wish we had started Lolli with them when she was 4 months old rather than when she was almost a year old. Their Day School (daycare) and Beginner Classes are so valuable. Lolli knows when it is Tuesday night and she gets to go to the ongoing Intermediate Training Classes where she shines with her ability to follow direction and relate to the other dogs. it is evident with this review that we cannot say enough good about Canine Balance Dog Training, Mr Ron and his staff!

We did the 10 week basic/beginners training and thought it was very thorough. It teaches you how to train your dog effectively. The trainers really know what they're doing. We plan to do the advanced and the "sniffing school" next. Thank you!

I’ve been without a pup for 9 years. Partially due to heart break and partially due to PTSD of having. Very dog aggressive pup in the past. I did lots of investigating on trainers in the Halton region, I was wanting a very balanced way with my future pup. I came across many places but Canine Balance stood out to me, the owner Ron and I went back and forth with emails regarding my concerns and his assurance brought me such relief. So I ended up bringing home an 8 week Cane Corso named Osha. I was able to get in for a 1:1 during Covid to give me some support, I signed her up for their day school so she could be socialized ASAP with other dogs as that was my biggest concern. Once they opened up the doors to in class group training, we completed their 10 week Novice training. Not only do I have an 8 month old pup now, I have a pup that I’ve bonded with so insanely well with because Ron and his insanely knowledgeable team provided me with the tools to continue training miss Osha. She LOVES her day at school and CANNOT wait to get inside. It’s not like a puppy play fest it’s super structured during their time there and she comes home exhausted. Osha recently had a Cherry Eye surgery and I’m sure will be approaching a heat shortly but once she’s recovered and out of diapers I will be signing her up for the Intermediate Group Classes. It’s not just about what you do in school it’s about what you do with your dog those other 6 days a week. These guys know their stuff and I 10:10 recommend and am SO THANKFUL for them!!! Thanks CB
