CMHA Canada needs to be shut down, If you define recovery as a 5 year period in which former clients have a full time job and do not need to use emergency psychiatric services then recovery happens less then 1% of the time and will cost the government in excess of half a million dollars. This organization exists as a factory for useless humanity majors to waist exorbitant of money on do nothing jobs that does not help people that will never get better because through no fault of their own they do not have the ability to improve due to bad genetics.

The support from people who have actually gone through their own challenges was the first time on my journey that I have felt truly understood. I was so skeptical that this was just going to be another mental health service that didn't listen or care but I was so wrong - I was listened to, I was given choices and I attended groups that finally made sense to me and helped me more in the past few weeks than all the years I have looked for help. Everyone should try recovery college and the peer support program!

I came here a couple months ago for am event and found it to be very welcoming. One of the staff members showed me around the facility and spoke of all the programs and classes they offered. I'm glad there's an association like this availble to the public with services given that are free. I think mental health is important and something that shouldn't be taken for granted. Will definitely visit again!

I believe CMHA is a safe space for people seeking support in the community. The vibrant peer support staff at the organization creates a genuinely welcoming, understanding, friendly place for everyone wishing for support with mental health concerns. CMHA is a recovery-oriented organization, demonstrating this through the programming, people and purpose.

I love this place! This is the best place in Calgary! I've taken terrific courses here, the teas and coffees are lovely, the people and team are extraordinarily helpful and I've learned much about myself and interacting with others. Since joining CMHA Calgary 4 years ago, the new Recovery College offers insightful, focused and practical courses and workshops. I have met many people with diverse backgrounds and on interesting journeys. It feels hopeful and uplifting to be a part of such a open and accepting community!

CMHA Calgary is absolutely amazing! I work in Mental Health in the city and we try to bring down some of our clients every week to get exposed to the Welcome Wednesday drop in group. Many of them have returned and are now signing up for the Recovery College courses offered. Many also are looking at becoming peer support workers themselves. Being so accessible on the train line is convenient as well. Having so many friendly faces welcome you when you walk in makes CMHA a place I suggest anyone, mental health issue or not, to go and visit and experience for themselves. You will be glad you did!!
