Carolyn has helped me through a number of difficult times in my life. She is both knowledgeable and caring. She has assisted me with career, my relationships and personal challenges.

She is someone whom is trust worthy, dedicated to her clients and the least judgmental person I have had the pleasure of speaking with. Being with her is very calming and has helped with multiple levels of life issues.

Thoroughly supportive, even-handed and helpful. She was around for and remembers many of the places, events and people in the "scene" from decades past, which was surprising and reaffirming that she is "the real deal", on top of being wonderful to chat about nostalgia in between questions about your life, intentions, support, and challenges. If you're a first-timer, there is some informed consent to read and sign and some questions about your intentions with therapy that will make the first session go really well when you put some thought into it. The office is a bit unusual: it's in a building that used to be condo apartments, and it's still very much that style. There's a proper bathroom in there if you need to change (or need the bathroom!) but there's no real reception area, so you may need to announce yourself. One other thing I appreciated was that she didn't attempt to play "gatekeeper". With her first response to my inquiry, she gave lists of resources that I would have presumed would be a "come in for an appointment and I'll give you resources afterwards". The info was quite useful, but I wanted someone to talk to anyhow. She's also on the board of the Skipping Stone Foundation for trans youth and their families.
