During Covid I understood that postal delivery would be slowed down greatly. However, 2 'Express Envelopes' that I sent to the U.S. and paid extra money for, took about 7 to 10 days to be processed at the Richmond Facility in B.C.. Once it was sent to the U.S,. it took only 2 days to be cleared by U.S. Customs and delivered to the recipient in the eastern U.S. I was extremely disappointed that Canada's postal clearance at this facility should be so slow on an Express Package.

I was there May 29 exactly at 10:56am to reload my Canada Post Visa card. On the desk was a sign "Gone for lunch 11:00am to 11:30am" and no attendant. I asked one of the store associates where the attendant was since it was not 11:00am yet to warrant her taking the lunch break? The store associate paged her 2 times and by the time she returned the page it was officially 11:00am their lunch break. The associate came back to inform me the attendant was on lunch and will be back at 11:30am. I responded back the attendant was taking advantage of their position to take a early lunch and added time my already buzy schedule for I had to work that night and needed to go home to take a rest. I ended up finishing what I had to do downtown and came back again around 11:45am to reload my card. The short shoulder length silver gray lady named Betty was there working at the counter. I mentioned to her that I was there at 10:56am earlier that had her paged and she informed me she was on her lunch break and she was entitled to have her lunch. Now I don't disregard that she is not entitled to have a lunch break but b honest to the employer that employs you to do a honest days work for the honest pay. Betty took a early lunch on company and added to my time by taking that early break! I found her very rude that she thinks its not her fault about taking her lunch breaks. Clearly customer service by Betty is not one of her good traits in providing a public customer service with a attitude she has and should be reassigned to the stock room. Till now I never had any bad service from Canada Post till I went to the downtown location and met Betty.

This is one of the rudest places I’ve ever dealt with. People are incompetent, most of the time staff is doing personal things like eating and telling eachother stories.

I tend to be very forgiving with companies when they have a few bad reviews about customer service. With other reviews for this location, a number of customers have complained about the woman who tends to the customer service window. I went into the vestibule and immediately saw signs for policies on the use of vulgar and profane language. I sort of laughed at the idea of someone needing to curse at a postal worker. Then, SHE came to the window. Unbeknownst to me, this location does not provide retail services; no shipping, stamps, packaging, etc. I placed my item on the counter and told her that I need to mail this package. Her response? "No." Literally what she said. There was no, "Sorry, we don't take packages at this location," or anything of that sort. I asked why not and she said that they aren't a retail store. She then said, "We don't even sell stamps. It even said it on the front door." in an incredibly sarcastic tone. Let me tell you, their front door is absolutely plastered with signs: COVID warnings, social distancing, hours of operation, etc. Good luck finding a sign that says they aren't a retail location. I told her that all she had to say was that they don't accept packages at this location and that there was no need to be rude or sarcastic. She just rolled her eyes and turned away. Needless to say, I certainly understand now why they have signs up about vulgarity at this location. Her description is -Female -White -Approximately 45-50 years old -5'3" - 5'4" -170-180 lbs -Very short brown hair with some grey If a Canada Post employee with stripes sees this review and takes their business seriously, move her to the back and keep her there. She isn't good for the brand, and she is a horrible agent.

Awful service, lady working older 50's gray hair short (similar description left by another reviewer) and zero customer service skills. Our mail had been diverted there as they are doing construction on our apt building we both work shift work and they are only open 930 to 230 so took 2 weeks before I made it there. And then she wouldn't let me have my partners mail even though we live in same apt same building etc. And she was soo rude about it. I asked to speak to her manager as our mail was still being diverted for another 2 weeks. This young girl in her 20's said she was the covering supervisor but didn't know the area so didn't know what she could do. Umm your the supervisor. I left in disgust. Obviously customer service is not even required to work there. :(
