I cannot say enough good about how my first renting experience in ~ 20 years has turned out at Cambrian Court. I can only guess things changed since I moved in (1 year ago) or those that gave this a poor rating are still not happy wherever they ended up. First off, these townhomes are in an older neighbourhood. With older homes there are pro’s and con’s. To me the pro’s win out. * 10 minutes to downtown in rush hour. * 7 minutes to all the restaurants and nightlife on 17th Ave. * 5 minutes away from everything Kensington has to offer. * Conveniently close to YYC. * Close to to the Children’s Hospital, the Foothills Hospital, U of C & Sait. * Need to stay active - Cambrian Court is surrounded by Confederation Park, Confederation Golf Course and Nose Hill Park. * Public transportation right out your door. * Surrounded by schools. * Coffee shop, Subway, Pizza place, Drug Store, Drycleaning, Sushi, etc. right across the street. ** Lock the doors and go away on a holiday knowing your place is looked after! The Townhomes and Property Management Never did I think that the mutual respect would exist in a rental relationship as it does here. Our manager Myrna does an excellent job communicating and looking after this block. The sometimes subtle improvements keep this place looking as good/clean/neat as could be imagined. Maintenance walks the grounds first thing everyday (I think) looking for anything that has blown in, litter, etc. The landscaping is always kept up and looking top notch. Maintenance Make a request and it is looked after, pretty simple. BIG ONE - winter (I don’t have to deal with it!) The snow is removed in a very timely fashion and I love not having to worry about that! As well, long narrow garages (26’ x 12’). You probably could fit 2 smaller cars in bumper to bumper. Con’s * They are older homes so cupboard space is (just) on the small side in my 3 bedroom townhouse. (keeps it real on how much you need) * Can get warm/hot on some of those 30 degree summer days. (windows/breeze/fan) * Narrow deck for summer enjoyment but it’s a deck with a great view of downtown city lights. The comment about drug addicts - they must be the quiet, neat, family type because that has never even come up in conversation let alone witnessing that. As for anyone complaining about $1500 rent, check out what you get for $1,500. Look at your utilities, mow the lawn & shovel the snow if that’s your thing. BR

The property is well-maintained and valued. Myrna and Bill are awesome in handling requests, repairs and maintenance. This was our best landlord experience in Calgary.

Going on two years and couldn't be happier. The Landlord and maintenance Manager are great, they take very good care of the grounds and are quick to respond to any concerns or questions. I had my furnace go out during when it was really cold still at night Maintenance drove down at 2am to come take a look. Next morning a repair guy came in as well to change a part.

We lived here for 4 years, really enjoyed living here, and the area. Great location, so close to major parks, downtown, airport and hospitals. Myrna and Bill were absolutely wonderful to deal with, when it came to maintenance or any other concerns. We only moved because we decided to buy.
