Big dreams of Paris, France were quashed by COVID, but that day on the river was so lovely that we forgot about world travels and were thrilled to be tucked away on the river in this beautiful Ontario town. I booked our lesson primarily for my husband, but Jeff's enthusiasm and encouragement made us both fall in love with fly fishing. We can't wait to go again. One session with Jeff fixed my cast and gave me a solid foundation to begin my own journey in fly fishing. Jeff has an ability to cut through the BS and speak in clear/understandable terminology that gets you from point A to B. Within a few minutes of meeting him, it was like hanging out with an old fishing buddy (who just happens to know an awful lot more than you!) The half day session is extremely good value for what you take away in terms of learning and experience. I am considering another session with Jeff or one of his colleagues once I have done some more solo work. After my session with Jeff, I stayed on the river with my own rod and landed a couple of nice bass. That’s a decent measurement of the learning I’d just received!

I was guided by Jeff and he went above and beyond to teach me what I needed to know and how to get out and have some fun catching fish. He made it a super fun experience and I will be booking again soon. 10/10 would recommend to absolutely anyone looking to get into fly fishing, or just looking for an awesome guide.
