Went to the journeyman lodge for a Sunday night stay and it was great. A gorgeous back country lodge but with lights and running water for part of the day without being massively expensive. Fantastic. And the terrain you can access right behind the lodge is spectacular. Perhaps a downside is they give you the option to ski in to the lodge but that is a huge slog on back country equipment. Pay the extra money and get a snowmobile ride in!

Only dog friendly XC skiing around. Everyone's friendly, not usually busy, and more than happy to pay the dog fee for a place like this. I have a season's pass and bring all my friends. Road is always great and parking is easy

Great day trip to go snowshoeing! Make sure to check the weather before if it's needed to rent snowshoes. If you do rent make sure to reserve online before. We rented in squamish at Urban Alpine because all the rentals were booked up at Callaghan.

Definitely my favourite place to cross county ski in the area. Much flatter than Cypress, but still has some elevation up gain if you want it.

Low key down to earth place for classic and skate skiing. Season is now over but we've gone up almost every weekend this past season and it never gets old.

We did two days of snowshoeing on trails within this 'touring centre'. Fairly easy to find the touring centre and there is a kiosk at the entrance where the person will process your day payment for the snowshoeing or cross country skiing. You cannot get a pass for a few days or a week. I believe there is a season pass though for locals. Also, they will provide a map of the various trails used for both snowshoeing and cross country. They have dedicated snowshoeing trails which were awesome. We loved the Alexander Falls Explorer trail which amounted to 4.3 kms and a stop at the incredible frozen waterfalls. Also, we shared the Real Life Easy trail with cross country skiers. Lots of elevation gain and we didn't make it to the turnaround point although our distance was 8 kms. The people working in the Centre were super helpful with directions as it isn't easy finding the trail heads. We recommend the area for snowshoeing at any level of ability.
