★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The good: right in Calgary, locked gate for security, the view from the hill.
The bad: narrow sites; online reservation, can't choose your site, although there is a place to leave a comment. I asked for privacy above all and got the standard response "we'll endeavour to do or best but can't guarantee...". We were assigned a site right next to a tenting family when there were at least a dozen sites available in our loop all weekend. Please look up the word "endeavour".
The ugly: I pity tenters as the constant beeping of big machinery building the road is adjacent to the campground, at least I had walls in my trailer and a Lloyd fan to drown up the noise. The road leading into the campground because of construction is rough and complicated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here a few nights while at the Stampede. Site width seems to vary significantly. Back in sites along the perimeter had wider spacing while pull through sites were close. Our site was not level. Ended up using 4 blocks to level it out. Convenient location into Calgary. Services were adequate and, of course, all the Calgary provided services are nearby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great staff at front! Very friendly and helpful. The tent sites are decent sixed with lots of grassy patches. Although it isn't all that private your neighbors aren't too close which is nice. You have a great view overlooking the city at night and seeing all the lights. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Laundry/dish washing facilities open 24/7. Prices to do laundry was also very decent!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is disappointing. It is run down and the lots a very small and there are no fires here at all (unless it is a propane firpit). If you just need a place to park and crash then it would work but it is not for those who enjoy camping.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff was very friendly! Hot showers and a very clean campsite. The only downside would be the size of the campsite but it you read about it beforehand it's exactly what you expect. Thanks for the stay Calgary West Campground! Also if you stay here ask for the take out menu for the Chinese restaurant. AMAZING food

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was trying to book a reservation through the phone, the worker told me to call back later instead pop just checking the availibiolty book like he did after I questioned why he couldn't help me out. he then continued with the lazy attitude complain about how 'there isn't really room but I guess ill take it" sighing acting like we were annoying him TRYING TO STAY ON THEIR CAMPGROUND? it was for a 2 night stay nothing crazy he seemed like it was the worlds biggest deal. I decided not to stay here based on his attitude, nothing to do with the park or even the availability. 0/10

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing campground within city limit and very close to others resturants and supermarkets if you forget something. Too bad they don't have fire pit or allow open fire by law due to you are still inside the city area
Great customer service from the owner and Mei! For sure I will come back again for just a causal camp night.
Highly recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed 3 nights in our fifth wheel. Terraced campground on a hill overlooking Calgary. Overall the campground is just rough around the edges & could use a facelift. They did a good job spacing out their guests so it felt spacious, but if it was full, the sites are very close. Pull-thrus are such that you are very close to your neighbor in the back & face your other neighbor in the front. Didn’t use the bathrooms but the laundry facilities were clean & economical. Campground is in a great location to see the sites of Calgary & Banff. Staff members were very nice too. Road construction is mostly done so we had no issues getting to the campground.
