Hi! I’m Camilla, I’m a certified doula (CD(DONA) and childbirth educator (LCCE). I found my passion for childbirth through the pregnancy and birth of my daughter (first child).

To be completely honest I was terrified of my changing body and the imminent labor and birth, let alone becoming a parent! I was referred by my cousin to an amazing childbirth class, where I was empowered, and felt I could take control of how I responded to my birth experience. My husband was the best birthing partner, he was informed and supportive. He was encouraging and confident, all due to the education he received in our classes. In the end it was a super positive experience.

With my son (second child) I was able to have a home birth, with super supportive midwives, as well as my husband surrounding me. My memories of both births are entirely unique, as they were entirely different from each other, but they’ve both contributed to the love, passion, and appreciation I have for pregnancy/labor/birth/and parenthood, and I hope to share that excitement with others!

I am now on a mission to help other women and their partners/families to have a powerful, transformative birth experience. I want to inform and educate women and families so they too, can be involved in their birth decisions, learn to follow their body’s cues and feel satisfaction in the process, in whatever informed choices they make.

When I’m not busy with classes or clients, you can find me on an adventure with my family (or planning our next adventure)! Adventure is a huge part of our family. We love to travel, and I dream big. We love the outdoors, especially being on a coast somewhere, being in the mountains, or exploring a new destination. My favourite memories have been made with my family, including when my babies were born!
