★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As pointed out by others, the food and drinks are great. The ambience is also wonderful (good music, nice paintings on the walls, cozy chairs, etc). Above all, the owner, Sam, is very welcoming, and he probably remembers your name in your second visit. He is one of the nicest business owners that I have seen in town.
Café Code Noir is exactly what you expect from a great local Café (and probably beyond that).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cute & warm coffee place. Here is perfect for quiet studying & working. The owner is nice and sweet. Everything is delicate, and the environment is clean and organized too. Thank you Sam! I will definitely come again when I revisit Montreal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stopped by this cafe to get some work done and I’m really happy I did! Cafe Code Noir is dimly lit with modern finishes and plenty of seating space. I ordered a chicken avocado panini, as per the barista’s recommendation, and a glass of lemonade. You could tell both were made in house! The lemonade actually had a citrus flavor and wasn’t overloaded with sugar, as per bottled lemonade.. The service and Wifi were great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sitting in the cafe right now, as I write this review! lol! I love visiting Café Code Noir when I come to Montreal. The owner and the workers are incredibly nice and super friendly. Food is good, and fairly priced. Pastries and drinks are tasty.
If you're looking for a place to get some remote work or studying done, this is the place to be!

Cage (Nutella iirc?) was so yum. Great coffee.
I think I saw some adventure game books but not sure if they were for show or for play. Cool either way.
