K	Kathleen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT waste your money on these people. The owners chase families away claiming that the beautiful (nature owned) falls are private property. The owner scares away people with his dog, stalks people, hides behind trees and yells at groups to get off his property. Please beware. Me and my family have been coming to the falls for years and have heard multiple stories of this man. And the stories are true! Not worth giving these kinds of people your money. Find a cottage with friendly, nature loving and respectful people.
F	Frank M on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can’t say enough!! Visited for a few days last week. Cottage was perfect - rustic, warm, spotless. Nice view over the lake. John and Dale are the best hosts; they both have a vast knowledge of the area and the local amenities. Ride out to the ice hut with John on his ATV where he gives a great tutorial on the local fish and their manners lol. The fish hut was phenomenal. Well built and warm. I told my wife that this was my favourite rental cottage of all the places we’ve been in the last twenty years. You should go. We’re going back for sure.

The previous owners John and Dale (pre 2021) were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating with any questions, requests or issues. The new owners Megan and Steve have made us feel so unwelcome that we will not be returning. The impression that I am getting is that they are trying to surround themselves with their family and friends to the exclusion of all others. And the personal investment to maintain the property does not appear to be a priority. Marketing and advertising seem to be their primary focus and they are resting on the laurels/customer base built by John and Dale. So sad as we really did love our time prior to 2021. No one will return to a resort that is not properly maintained and where they are not made to feel welcome.

D	Diane Bosscher on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked 5 cottages for our family reunion (family of 19). Buttermilk Falls Resort has wonderful outdoor amenities! The grandchildren and children stayed busy the whole time. We have an active family and usually we go "off-site" to find things to do, but this past vacation almost all of our activities happened on the resort. We loved the large common spaces, the new dock, the beach and all of the water toys. The fire pit area was cozy and scenic. The outdoor movie experience was really enjoyed by the grandchildren and was something we have never experienced in any other cottage resort that we have stayed at. Booking this resort for our family was a very pleasant experience and your cheerful responses went a long way to make us want to stay at your resort:) The check-in was also a very smooth process. We appreciated your prompt responses when we had any questions. The hot tubs were such a hit especially with the fall weather. And of course the scenery! Although you are not in control of that, it was amazing! Thanks for the opportunity to have a wonderful family reunion.
R	Ryan Osburn on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great spot!! Highly recommended!! Megan & Stephen run a great resort, cabin was exactly what we needed for our guys ATV trip. Stephen was very helpful with the ATVs when we needed a pressure washer and some tools! I'd return for a trip anytime.
