Business Cards Tomorrow

WARNING**** DO NOT SIGN UP ON THEIR WEBSITE About a couple years ago i signed up for an account on their website to get a quote and price the cost of having business cards made, however, accounts are not immediately approved. Today, my Google Chrome showed that my login information had been found in a data breach, so naturally I went to the website to change my password, only to find I could not access my account information, as the account was still pending approval, meaning I could not change my password, delete my account, or even access the personal info they had on file (required by the Canadian Privacy Act and CRTC). Naturally, I called their office here in Toronto and asked why it was still pending approval, to which I was told that I needed to email them with more information and what products I would be ordering. At this point I stopped the rep, stating that it was a ridiculous signup method and to instead close my account and delete the associated information. The rep then tried to end the call, stating that "if the account has not been approved, [she] will not send any info or emails." This then led to me having to argue with the rep over how to handle the account, as I did not want my personal info associated with the account, which required it be deleted, and to get the company to email me confirming the account and associated info was deleted. At one point I had stated that the fact I cannot do any of this or even change my password, without this much effort was ridiculous, even having to threaten them with legal action, as access to this information and the ability to have it removed is required by Canadian law. So, if you have any concerns about companies mishandling personal and business info, including payment methods and info, have concerns about being able to manage your passwords following a data breach, or expect communications in regards to data breaches, I would recommend avoid using this company's website.
