Easy to get last minute tee times. Greens are a bit slow and not maintained well in places. Prices are low. Beginner friendly. Pace of play is pretty slow on weekends and afternoons.

My boyfriend and I have played here quite often the past year since it is very near where we live. A couple of weeks ago, however, was the last time we will ever play at Bushwood Golf Club. One good thing about Bushwood's courses is how forgiving and challenging the playing spaces are, especially for beginners. What I absolutely can't stand about Bushwood is their course maintenance. The very first round we played this year was a joke. We thought we were getting a really good deal for paying $10 (Executive course) on opening day, but little did we know that the course was a swamp. The guy at the pro shop didn't even let us know about the conditions and let us play anyway. Side note: any time it has rained just a little bit, there's always swamp-like areas in each hole of the Executive (we had to learn that the hard way). Obviously this is normal for golf courses, but Bushwood's is definitely the worst I've seen thus far. Ever since we started playing at Bushwood, the grass has been atrocious. The last game we played, I lost 12 balls. Not because they were out of bounds, but because I couldn't find them in the ROUGH. The grass was so long that it would swallow every ball we hit into the rough. We would spend 5 minutes finding the ball and still be unsuccessful. It's definitely not just us with the issue. One of the guys we let play through us was also unsuccessful finding his ball from a hit off the tee deck. He definitely hit it onto the fairway, but Bushwood's fairways are pretty much the rough in normal golf clubs. There were also some safety hazards we encountered during our last game. A huge pipe was bursting out from one of their fairways (I believe it was the 16th hole on the Championship course; just beside Reesor Rd. and behind the pond). Luckily we noticed it and didn't trip over it, but a sign would at least have sufficed for cautionary purposes (see photos attached). Along one of the cart paths towards the 17th & 18th hole, there was a huge pot hole. It didn't affect us since we were walking, but I can't imagine how detrimental it could have been if carts didn't see it. Overall, I would not recommend playing at Bushwood Golf Club until proper course maintenance is in place.

This course needs its Marshalls to enforce pace of play rules. Just played a 5+ hour round here and constantly waited 5-10 minutes on every Tee box waiting to hit. At one hole we even waited 20 minutes at the tee box in a line of groups waiting our turn. Course conditions are equal to what you pay but maybe avoid this course during busier times if you don’t want a lengthy round.

I played here a couple of times and I really enjoyed it. The staff here is friendly and the pro shop manager (Matt) is a great guy. The course/facility is well maintained and challenging enough for me. Also, the championship course is easy to walk. I’m hoping to go back soon.

The course was in pretty decent condition up until this past weekend. Half the course is a swamp now and you would put your ball right down the middle and lose it because it is submerged in the ground. Not to mention carts were allowed so half the holes are now absolutely shredded. The fact this place continues to charge almost 90$ at the end of October is a joke and is why this course is usually one of the only ones you can get short notice tee times at. Every other course dropped prices 20-30% since thanksgiving.

Friendly staff, course is decent, twilight (after 5pm) golf price is $28 so it's a good deal. The course is not the most meticulously kept and it's a little narrow, but overall it's a great evening out and a great place to take more inexperienced golfers. I gave it five stars because it's a fun course, but probably not for someone who usually golfs at Angus Glen.

Played at Bushwood's championship course for the second time early October 2021, with a morning start. There had been rain the day before and there was heavy dew on the course when we started. The dew, along with the rough (tallest of any course I have played in the GTA), made it difficult to find balls (the sun glints off the wet tall rough and the ball is almost completely hidden). On the positive side, the course is otherwise in good condition. It's very walkable with small gentle slopes, is of decent length, with fair layouts, challenges and green sizes. The price is also reasonable and with a range on site makes for a good convenient golf outing.
