Full disclosure. I have never golfed, so I can't speak to the course (other than it waa very busy and impeccably groomed). Was there for a Celebration of Life. All safety protocols scrupulously observed, excellent food and attentive, professional staff. Well done.

We contacted Spring Lakes Golf Club looking to book our daughter's sweet 16th. We got the contact of Laura Piccione, Clubhouse Manager from their website and connected with her through email. It took a few days for a reply but she was helpful initially, through email and we decided to come in and see the venue. She was helpful and professional when we met, that changed right after. We discussed the date we were looking to book and pricing, she had offered through email and mentioned again when we were there. We asked if she could do something better for pricing and she said she would try and to let her know if we would like to proceed with our event by second week in November, our discussed date for the Sweet 16th was supposed to be on November 20th. She said date was available. After that we followed up with emails as reaching her through the phone is impossible and she said that was the best way to reach her. She would take days to get back to us...it says 48 hours in her emails but at this point it was around 3 days that my husband and I were chasing her. She finally replied and said the date we had wanted now there would be a hockey game party that could conflict with our party. We told her we could change the date, so no worries. She stopped replying to our emails and finally my husband went in to try to speak with her. It was now a full week without us knowing whether we could have this date or not and no reply. She was extremely rude to my husband when he showed up to speak with her. Made it seem as though only members could book the venue or we had to know a member which she never mentioned before. She asked my husband how we had been able to contact her! He explained everything is listed on their website, why would she even ask such a weird question. She tried to give him the run around again, that she had to check with the kitchen and was so unprofessional and rude. My husband finally walked out and mentioned they should update their website and be more transparent. This was the worst experience I have had with a venue, especially for an event that was supposed to be so special. If you are looking for a venue, not sure how they run their business here but beware! We have since contacted 2 other golf courses, all professional, no need for memberships and if this was the case at Spring Lakes that should have been the first question Laura should have asked before she raised our daughter's hopes and ours. Horribly managed by her, extremely disappointing.

South course is looking and playing very well. Staff is working hard getting the north up to par as it needs some work on weed control. Hopefully the members that are new to the game and to the club start to embrace better etiquette in all areas. Slightly disappointed the outdoor front patio wasn't completed over the winter. Mostly stonework and some wood, even at the higher price right now of lumber, should have been completed. The area is extremely popular with the members and guests so it's much needed IMHO. Quick rounds, good food+drink, great service and 3 nice courses.

Had an excellent game here. The weather was beautiful and the staff is always on point. Got here an hour earlier to try out the driving range. The employees are on point in filling the ball baskets. All in all, we spent a solid 6 hours for 18 holes and would recommend players to join the membership.

Very unprofessional staff. Steve the Marshall was extremely rude and verbally harassed my group. Will not bring my money back to Spring Lakes. Have never been treated like that and I’ve been a member at very pretentious golf clubs. Stay away

New ownership treats staff extremely poorly, as if they were minimum wage peasants. There are ants inside the dining hall. Heard terrible things about how they treat their staff. Food is beyond subpar, the frozen section at Costco will tend your moneys worth better than spring lakes could. Overall embarrassing and sad to see what was once a great place deteriorate to poor management.

Very unprofessional and poor management, need to train employees better so they actually know what they are doing. Also employee attitude needs to be dealt with, I asked very nicely if I could get some water due to the heat and the worker told me to get it myself and that it’s not her fault I forgot to bring a water bottle. I just wanted water and asked nicely, didn’t expect to get told that.

Played North course today, good shape for the most part, tee decks, greens all in good shape. Has a few challenging holes where you have to pick your shots but fun. Pace of play is great, not waiting for anyone and didn’t have anyone behind us pushing either so you can play your game without losing your rhythm or feeling rushed. Staff is friendly, had a sandwich at the halfway house, food is good and very reasonably priced. Will come back again, private course so must come with a member.
