Burke Mountain Medical

23 years ago, I arrived in Vancouver. Within 30 days, I had fractured my leg on a steep icy boat ramp while visiting a friend. After being hospitalized to set and pin the fracture, I was released and sought out a physician for Post Operative care. Amazingly, blessedly, I was referred by a family friend to a young doctor who, over a period of 15 years, had built up a well respected family practice in north Port Coquitlam. Dr. Ian Woods is a rare breed, a man's man, a family man, a man of impeccable character and honor. He is respected by his peers, he continues to teach others who practice the healing arts and who wish to be the best in their own medical careers. A man who has smiled every time I have seen him during our wonder filled 23 year relationship. A man of medicine who always takes the time to listen carefully, asking intelligent pointed questions. A no nonsense man, and astutely observant, he has always absorbed everything with concern, interest and intelligence. He has always provided me, my family and some close friends, with skillled professional medical care, treatment and advice. A man that wouldn't and doesn't mince the words that one must hear, if they are to recover from serious injury, better their daily health and life. A friend and revered advisor, he has always gone beyond and above what the Hippocratic Oath and code of practice require. Daily, he honors the profession he has practiced for over 35 years, as do the team he has assembled. One day16 years ago, there was a medical emergency with a co-worker on my worksite. It was in POCO and it required professional medical expertise, and immediate transport to a doctor was vital. Realizing Dr. Woods practice was only 2 minutes away, I contacted his office. Without hesitation Dr Woods gave us instructions to immediately transport the individual to his office, prepared to meet him there, and arranged for emergency services to meet them both there. Later, when I was able to contact my friend, I learned that Dr Ian Woods intervention and actions that day had saved his life. Blessed are the hands that heal and honored are those that serve so selflessly. Dr Woods has always surrounded himself with like minded professional health practitioners. If you are fortunate to be a patient of a team of medical professionals like those at Burke Mountain Medical then you truly are blessed. Thank-you Dr Woods.

Joined the clinic as a new patient with Dr.Manning after our previous family doctor retired. Very good experience , he’s polite and efficient and so is all the staff we’ve interacted with.

I've been going to Burke Mt. Medical for about 15 years now and can't say enough good things about them. Sure, I've had to wait a couple times 30+ mins to see the doc but it's rare. All the staff have always been professional and prompt to deal with organizing specialists and 3rd party appointments too. 5 stars, keep up the good work!

Amazing medical clinic, they call several times to confirm appointments and are helpful if you need to change it last minute. Reception is very friendly on the phone and accommodating. My doctor (Dr. Arnold) is very knowledgeable and understanding when it came to medical questions. If they're accepting more patients I urge you to sign up, you'll feel really taken care of.

I recently started coming to this clinic after my family doctor of 19 years retired. I was nervous about starting over again, but Dr. Arnold and Dr. Manning have been great with me and my kids too. I find the staff to be very friendly and professional. I also want to add that our appointments have always run on time.

I’m a new patient at this clinic and I just have to say that the staff including their MOA Gitty and doctors here are wonderful! The staff go above and beyond to get you in when needed. The doctor is knowledgeable is very friendly. If they are accepting patients I would recommend registering ASAP! :)

I’m very happy and satisfied with this clinic and my family doctor, Dr. Arnold! Whatever I need his help I just call the office and they always go the extra mile to get me an appointment right away and help me out. I travel a lot for work and I have a medical condition, so is rare when I’m in town to go to an in-person appointment. The last few times I had a phone consultation and he sends the prescriptions to the city I'm in. I'm very grateful for that! Now I have peace of mind to be away knowing that if I get sick I have an excellent doctor who will help me! The receptionists are great, friendly and efficient!

My family are patients and have been patients at Burke Mountain for 40 years. I can honestly say I would not Go anywhere else. ! I have full trust in Our Dr Ian Woods and all Dr.’s in this clinic . I have had to see other Dr.’s as well and all of them have been fantastic. There is always a Dr 24 hours. Burke Mountain Medical is a 10 in our family’s eyes!! Thank you Dr Ian Woods.
