★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Parthenon has been here for as long as I can remember (I'm talking decades). My mom would buy me souvlaki from here as a treat. So, "that place on Van Horne" is the measuring stick for all souvlaki I eat, anywhere (mainly NYC). I'm been back in town for a bit, and I've been here twice for dine-in meals. Had the calamari appetizer, lamb chops, souvlaki plate, Greek salad, and it's all excellent. Love the warm crispy pita that accompanies your meal.
Servers are very friendly, though I'd appreciate it if they were more regular about refilling your water. The free wifi is a nice extra.

Pros:
-service is exceptional
-the waitress is very accommodating and helpful
-close to Van Horne 161 bus stop
-near cote-des-neiges area
-the place is very cozy and accommodating
-includes free soup and coffee during evenings
-huge amount of servings of main dish for a cost of about $20
-very affordable price
-the place seems to be compact but it fits well enough
-free Wi-Fi
Cons:
-very hard to find parking
-the grilled chicken and lamb I ordered was greasy

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ it was a very disappointing experience during my last pickup order : longer than expected waiting time, staff with very little skills in restaurant business, quality of food below expectations and - surprise - incomplete order after arriving home with the stuff...
I do not see myself going back to this resto, after many years of being a loyal customer !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice Gem that I only explored this glorious sunny day of our Cold Montreal February month on a work day that my daughter and I both were at home for school and work but felt like something different so we took a drive to Google's suggestion for nearest Greek food place on route to our house. We were lucky! Google found this place Parthenon!!
We made the order on the phone and did not realize it that to souvlaki Pitas two of them with fries was so HUGE and the fries were actually potatoes done so crispy! Walk in to the Covid struck but was happy to see down to earth happy people enjoying what they do.. and I mean do very very well. Chat a little with the people working behind the counter and realized they were proud of their establishment and that my daughter and I choose or I should say Google push us in that direction. So if you are planning to eat Greek food or never ate Greek good this place is worth the trek! ENJOY!!

Server do check the QR code, so bring your vaccination proof and ID.
