Small place, located close to SkyTrain station and B-Line stop, if you're a smoker who arrives in the area before London Drugs opens its good for tobacco and selection. Small little knick knacks, snacks and some soda that isn't found easily up here and some 420-friendly products are available here. I've never had to wait long to be served as the employees can see you as soon as you come through the door.

I have tried to send money via Ria and Vigo (as they advertise on the storefront) from this market several times unsuccessfully. The employee that works on the weekends - afternoons- always has an excuse for not using Ria or Vigo. Yesterday he said the system didn't work and this is the third time that that happens. Change your employee for one that wants to work and does his job or take down the advertising for this service.

I've had a horrible experience with this place. The guy I've dealt with Fred, was rude to me, dismissive, refused to take my calls and has yet to return my money. I tried sending money through Xpress money and after taking my money, Fred said that it hadn't gonegthrough. I called a few times and went in person trying to find out what was happening, but Fred lied straight to my face saying that I'd be accused of fraud and would never be able to send money with any money transfer service for the rest of my life. He then continues to say that Xpress money has put a hold on the transaction and we have to wait until the following day to resolve it. He has done this repeatedly. I called Xpress money myself to find out what was going on and they said that the money could be released for a refund and that there was no hold on our transaction on the Vancouver side. After explaining my situation to the agent, he called Broadway Mini Mart and said he had a difficult time speaking to the person there and would file a complaint. A representative from Xpress money would deal with me directly to resolve my issue. I've had a significantly poor experience at this place and would recommend people avoid dealing with someone who exhibits such manipulative and fraudulent behavior.

Don't get your lotto ticket(s) checked at this store. They don't let you scan them yourself, and when they do they throw it in the garbage even when there is free play or a winning lotto. This happened twice, two different incidences where: I went to get my lotto re-scanned to verify which lotto ticket had a free play. They proceeded to throw my lotto tickets in the garbage after scanning. Knowing that I had a free play, I confronted them about it. They apologized and gave me my free play back.

Really nice place for a mini mart. The employees and owner are really friendly and always goes an extra mile to provide a good customer service. They always have their stock up to date as well. Great place!

I am going to describe what happened here and leave it up for your judgement. I just had a very uncomfortable experience there and don’t think I will be back. There were two interactions which whom I understood to be the owner/manager. 1.I went to pick up a parcel I missed from UPS. I was greeted by the manager at the counter. He appeared friendly and attempted to bond and make jokes. When I explained what business brought me there, he checked on the date and said he just packed my package for return. I said “Oh too bad, I’m here now”, to which he replied “Are you a good girl? If you are a good girl, I will go find it”. I wasn’t sure what to respond. It was my first interaction with this person, so I kept quiet, feeling quite uncomfortable. He asked again a few times if I was a good girl, and I kept quiet. Then he called an employee and asked him to find my package. I picked it up and left a little upset, then went back half an hour later. 2.I asked him what he meant by “Are you a good girl?”. He said he didn’t remember and was just making a joke. So I described the dialogue to him the way I did here, and asked him again what he meant. He repeated that he doesn’t think about what he says and was just making a joke to make me feel more comfortable. I pointed that I was actually uncomfortable because that phrase can carry an inappropriate connotation and was curious what he meant because he was a stranger to me and I could have misunderstood. He said again it was a joke. I asked: “well, what part of it is a joke? What part of it is supposed to be funny? I don’t understand”. His main point was that he speaks his mind, and that maybe I understood it that way because of what I carry and what I have on my mind, that I should not be negative or assume he meant ill. He also said I should learn to read people and consider how they say things rather than the content of their speech. (I did start this interaction by asking him questions to clarify rather than throwing accusations). I then offered the possibility that maybe there was a cultural gap in how we understand jokes. He said that culture has nothing to do here as we are in Canada and he has been here for many years. This didn’t make much sense to me. This went on back and forth until we both called it quit and I left. Anyways, not sure what to make of this. This has not happened to me in a store before, and I wish the conversation went into a different direction than "Are you a good girl?" and “You should learn to read people”.

The system they use for tracking packages is terrible. I had to pick up a package from there where the tracking shows it was ready for pick up days ago. Instead of going to the back and checking, they go off a list scribbled on the back of lotto tickets to see if the package is there. They told me the package wasn’t there and to come back in a few days. It was only after I showed them the proof of delivery photo that clearly showed the package was dropped off at their counter that they went to the back to look for it and found it for me. The employees tried to be nice and helpful but the manager there was condescending.
