★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered cod and chips for takeout and it came well-wrapped in traditional unprinted newsprint paper. The batter was perfectly crispy and still very hot after a 5-minute drive back to our hotel. The serving was more than enough: good flavour and very good quality fish! We enjoyed the meal very much!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sitting for 15 min before anyone came to our table, there were 2 other tables besides us. Cold fries and they never give enough tartar sauce, and when you ask for more they charge you. On the bright side the fish was good

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had driven past many times and always wanted to visit. Our first visit was a disappointment. Fish and chips were mediocre at best. Certainly nothing to write home about. Portion of mushy peas very skimpy considering the price. Decor was interesting but the whole place felt grubby. We won’t go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chicken and mushroom pie and chips were served very hot and tasted good, I did not eat my peas that were the frozen kind from a bag. Gravy was thick and from a package.
Bathroom was very dirty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was excited to visit the place, went in and met by a small boy, very cute & friendly. The entrance is great with all the memorabilia. Got seated, picked our order. The food came in a timely manner, my food tasted okay, chips were good, very disappointed in the mushy peas, super small amount for the price I was charged which was actually different on the bill than the menu, should have checked the other stuff. My girlfriends meal wasn’t worth what was paid, she had “salad” & chicken. Didn’t eat the chicken as they were hard tasteless small pieces. They were playing Christmas music even tho it’s late January. The server was very nice tho. Glad we went but won’t go back. I’m a Brit so kinda know

The lunch special is great value.
Fish was great and the chips were good. Mushy Peas are amazing.
Atmosphere is definitely worth the trip if the service is a little slow.
