★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have met Caroline, the owner, to sell some 45 rpm records from the 1980s. Caroline went through the records and selected a few, which she then checked their values on her system. Her offer was fair. The cashier paid me in cash. Caroline was courteous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Bouquinerie du Plateau is a great second hand bookstore. At the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal neighbourhood, it offers a great selection of books of all kinds, as well as some records and magazines.
Its strongest section is its (general) fiction, Quebec fiction, poetry, and theatre sections. There are also interesting finds to be had in the graphic novels section. The arts, photography, and other related sections are good, but not very extensive.
Visitors to Montreal should know that this bookstore's selection is mostly in French, so it might be more of a curiosity for non-French speakers. That being said, for anybody that likes French-language writing, this place is definitely worth a stop.
