★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is pure Canada. It has a hockey rink attached so you can watch skating or a game live as you are eating or enjoying a beverage. They also have many different screens to watch hockey or other games. The food is well proportioned and priced well. All in it's great old time fun. The service is first rate quick and I can tell they actually care about each customer. Good for kids and grandparents this is a solid hang out if you live nearby check it out.

Nice neighbourhood sports bar.
We went for a nice walk and came here for a bite to eat afterwards.
It was great! We will be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We love Boomers as a family!!! It accommodates us rink moms who want to have a nice warm place to socialize and munch while the kids are skating. We love All the staff and we always are served with a warm greeting when we arrive!! Great atmosphere and food for the whole family!! My fave is the pizza!!! One of the best in the Mission.

The location is interesting in that it allows viewing of attached skating/hockey facilities but I do not expect to ever eat here again. If one is interested in pub food and drink at regular local prices there is a better option nearby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Forgive me but Boomers was brutal, from the next to non-existent service, to the Rubbermaid chicken in my Cajun "Chicken" Alfredo. Sidekicks would have tasted better friends.
I looked over at the burger my husband ordered & felt some satisfaction knowing that I didn’t have to eat the repulsive patty.
I think my kiddos ordered the safest thing on the menu, chicken strips & fries.
I wouldn't suggest Boomers if you prefer the typical bubbly & friendly servers because you may not find them there. We instantly felt not welcomed as soon as we walked thru the door at the sitting vacant restaurant & sat ourselves down. Once the food was served we were never checked on to see if there was anything we needed, drinks refilled or how the food was... It's too bad. This could be a nice sports bar in the mission, TV's & ice skaters occupying the views.
I now know why the place sat virtually empty. Next time, I'll just go to the kid selling food at the concession in the arena. Service & quality is far more inviting in comparison to restaurant.
