We ordered the calimary to start it was delicious very crunchy with a nicely balance batter best I've had. For our mains she ordered the Korean beef ribs and rice, nice flavor very authentic. I ordered the steak and lobster tail with mashed potatoes, the steak was perfect medium rare with a great chared flavor, the lobster was cooked perfectly and the potatoes were creamy and had perfect texture. I would like to thank our server Colleen who was very attentive and took great pride in her attention to details and the Chef Rupan who cooked our meals to perfection.

Feels more like a sports bar. I believe there's a bar towards the back and they're open later! Excellent waiter and friendly. Edit: Tried again for Covid takeout. $15 Lamb burgers come with kraft singles and unseasoned meat. $8 Crab cakes were fresh but bland? $6.50 Creme Brulee was again phenomenal. Again, I didn't find the value worthwhile. The quality of the food and ingredients did not meet the price. Can't recommend the place yet, but perhaps I'm just trying all the wrong foods for this place.
E	Ed Cunningham on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So, for the record, it wasn’t quick, and wouldn’t be ideal if you’re in a hurry. That said, six of us ate six different meals, and everyone was happy. Kid-sized pizza would easily serve an adult, so we all tried some, and agreed that it was exceptional. Salads could have used less time in the dressing before being served, but were full of variety and fresh ingredients. Pasta dishes were great. Also, if you are looking for outdoor seating, Bon Select Bistro seems to have more than most other Sunderland options. If half star ratings were an option, I’d say 4.5 stars, but I was pleasantly surprised, and so I am rounding up rather than down.

The 20 minute wait time was reasonable, but we didn't feel we needed to 'check' our order at the time of pick-up or we would have left it there! We opened our two orders of halibut fish & chips to find them both overcooked & char-burnt in spots! Along with the typical, boring, from-frozen double-cooked fries... We are surprised that there's no thought to offering hand-cut fries from a classic cuisine bistro! The fish was so over-cooked that it was tough to cut it with a knife! A slice of lemon, not a wedge, and dill pickle-juiced tartar. We ate it anyway as we didn't want to bother having to drive elsewhere and it was going on 7pm. Their advertised price of $16.95 for halibut fish & chips was definitely not worth it. This was probably the worst fish & chips we have ever had.

My lamb burger was unreal (cooked to perfection and the bun was sooo fresh). We had the cheesecake for dessert and it was also amazing! Nothing better than a hole In the wall restaurant like this!

Chef needs to throw in a unique touch to this dish, and no sauce on the side doesn't count .? I usually get the wings here and because of that I give this place a 4 star
S	Suzette Seveny on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pros: Excellent food, the building seems heritage, complete with tin ceiling. The food was fantastic! Cons: The table and chairs are very dated and more suited to a greasy spoon restaurant. There's too much on the menu for a small restaurant like this. I recommend 3-4 specialties in each category, with others reserved for daily or weekly specials. PS the fish (haddock) and chips were fabulous and I'll be back to try the curry.
