Bon Echo is a great park with lots to do. It's very busy though so if you want to rent a canoe or kayak, you better go early in the morning, otherwise the line up is like 20 people deep. We were at site 120 in Sawmill Bay and it had the worst privacy I have ever had for a campsite. Our neighbours were pretty cool which made things better. The sites are separated by a few logs as you can see in my pictures. There are no trees or bushes in between us at all. Next time I think booking site 121 would be a lot better. The other sites seemed private compared to ours. Just bad luck I guess. The pictures on the Ontario parks website don't really show how open the site is. Other than that, the park is great. We brought our bikes and biked around the park which was fun and easy. The huge rock face was just a few steps from our campsite. It's an amazing thing to see. There is a huge beach as well with sand and shallow entry. Will definitely be back again!

It was great! Until the tornado hit! Tent saved my life! Then we got kicked out a day and a half early? The staff were not on the ball. Very uncaring and really didn’t care and couldn’t be bothered to give information in a critical situation?

Busy spot in the summer, but you can’t beat this amazing campground. Great views from the top of the rock face and some nice secluded canoe camping spots.

One of best Provincial parks in Ontario. Breathtaking views! Can’t wait to go back. It was an amazing trip. 5 Stars indeed.

Beyond the beauty of Mazinaw Rock, Bon Echo has something for everyone. Clear, still waters make this a great place for canoeing, especially with the colours in fall. The park also has beautiful hiking opportunities - great views from the aforementioned Mazinaw (reachable by canoe), but across the road several backcountry options, including multi day routes. Worth visiting in every season.

Beautiful park ! We happened to be camping during a major storm May 24 weekend 2022. The park rangers checked on everyone and safely evacuated the park due to the extreme damage and unsafe conditions. the clean up crew were working so hard and did an amazing job. Thank you to all the employees of Bon Echo provincial park this past weekend ! Be safe !

The park closes from 17 Oct to 12 May. I made a trip one week prior to the opening! Even though the park is closed, one can park the vehicle at the small parking lot right after entering and explore the beauty on foot. That's what I did. While I was there I didn't see any others individuals...we are the one who were there. Never had such luck! Those of you love to go for hiking and camping this indeed a great place. You can go for a boating in the lake too. I love being in Parks and enjoying the beauty of the nature. Thanks to Parks Ontario for proving such facilities.

Beautiful provincial park with wonderful scenery and so many fun things to do. Park staff are friendly and helpful and you really can't beat the views of the rocks off lake mazina. Canoe/ kayak rentals wonderful beaches comfy camp sites for tents or trailers and the tuck shop has a lot of really nice gifts. I highly recommend trying their solar roasted coffee from a small local coffee maker. Their Guatemalan coffee is delicious. My personal favorite provincial park. Highly recommended!
