Systemically poor service-TOP-DOWN CUSTOMER SERVICE APATHY Chronically understaffed with awful service from management down. Attend typically in the afternoons with 1-2 tellers working a long line up. The Manager sought to address the crowd after much delay. He asked if everyone there needed a teller. When prompted as to why there were so few tellers, he advised that his third teller was on vacation. He did so in a abrasive and un-caring manner. The manager did not even bat an eye, apologize or look to ameliorate the situation. TOP-DOWN APATHY at this branch.

Booked an appointment on Wednesday at 2 pm last week to open a business account. I confirmed my appointment for one hour with the business advisor at this location (Berlin was my booked advisor). Showed up at 2 pm for my appointment, the business advisor (Berlin) told me he didn’t know he had an appointment with me and had to eat his lunch. He said he cannot help me and told me to leave because β€œhe needs to eat his lunch and had another client at 3 pm. As someone who used to work for one of the 5 large banks. Not having a lunch is the normal. If you work for TD, BMO, CIBC, RBC, you know CLIENTS COME FIRST and the corporate vision is built on client satisfaction which drive the revenues. Berlin the financial advisor told me to leave rudely despite I had an appointment with him. He told me to drive all the way to another BMO location (on bloor street) which was out of the way. I had to call all my clients and reschedule my whole day of meetings. I asked Berlin if there’s another advisor, he said this location is short staffed and there’s only one advisor. I will definitely make a complaint about this branch and the poor training by the branch manager.

I was signed up for balance insurance without my knowledge from this location. I have gotten calls from BMO in the past to sign up for balance insurance and have rejected it every time so it was a complete shock when I found out I was in fact signed up. It is under investigation at the moment but can not get anyone from BMO or Manulife (plan administrator) to give me a proper update. It has been well over 30 days since the start of the investigation. I do not recommend this bank for any services.

This is the worst location and i had bad experience few times. People go to the bank for help and the staffs are usless. I got scamed online and i cancelled my card. Next day i took time off work and went to this location to get a new card. They ask for a id and i only have health card but they wont accept. They wont even ask any security questions about my account that only i would know to verify who i am but they dont even care to help me. I went to a next bank and a teller accepted my health card and helped me with everything.

If I could've given them a zero star, I would. I can not honestly believe that this bank is still in buisness. It needs to be shut down, immediately. I echo many of the previous reviewers - there is absolutely NO customer service; the staff are rude, incompetent and have no problem completely lying to the customer. I came into the bank a few days ago, not local to the area - trying to accurately locate the bank. It was shortly before 5pm but the doors had already been locked. I knocked on the door, waited a few mins before someone even acknowledged me and explained the situation that the doors were locked before closing and if someone could assist me with a simple task. I was passed over from one person to another with one of the staff telling me that I could make my request online and should go that route. No emotional intelligence whatsoever. It did not occur to him that if I could complete my errand online, I would not have spent 30 mins in traffic, trying to find their bank. Then continued to argue with me regarding when the doors were locked. It was like trying to have a conversation with a teenager. I've been with BMO for almost 20 yrs and I have never been treated with such disregard. I am seriously considering pulling my buisness and moving everything to TD. The general manager - Jayanta Chowdhury - should be ashamed of himself for allowing his staff to behave in such a manner. Completely unacceptable.

Simply terrible experience was in there today at around mid day and they only had one staff member assisting customers, worst banking experience ever people were so fed up of waiting they were giving up and leaving. When the manager finally emerged from his office he was asked where the rest of the staff were and he simply left with responding. Stay well away from this so called bank

I am writing this review to thank Berlin Tosio, Personal Manager, at the Queensway Branch for the help he gave me recently. I had been looking for a long time for a solution to my needs until I found Mr. Tosio. He listened to what I needed and he provided me with the best options. He knew what he was talking about. He is a very kind and understanding person. I have no words to thank him enough.
