Bissell Thrift Shop - Edmonton

i didn't want to make a bad review for this place but here i am looks like more price gouging on donated items meant for the less fortunate i thought they would have changed after they fired the last manager for overpricing items but the issue is not fixed yet

They claim there is a 7 day warranty for store exchange on electronics if it doesn't work but if you want to try it prior to purchase by pluging it into an outlet then you void their exchange warranty. I understand the profits go to help those in the community but I personally refuse to purchase from a store that does not openly allow customers to know what they are purchasing is functioning fully and doesn't just turn on partially or in the case of devices with audio that the speakers aren't blown, the motor on the mixer isn't gone, the microwave oven isn't in the error code function. Every other thrif shop I have been to allows customers to test out an electronics and small appliances by having a power bar available. ( MCC, Salvation Army, Value Village as well as many of the privately owned thrif shops around Edmonton) For a company that is supposed to help those in the community I find it disturbing that they are okay with this policy considering many people that shop thrif stores are doing so out of necessity not choice. If they spend thier money on a specific item such as a TV, stereo, or an appliance and that appliance isn't functioning fully how does this stores warranty or voiding of said warranty help them out? It doesn't. There is no guarantee that they will have an additional appliance in for the exchange. There is also no guarantee that they aren't just slapping tested labels on things that don't function properly. I personally will not be supporting this store and chose to support other thrift stores that aid in the community as well as have transparency with thier customers

Looking at on line thrift shopping. Loved the variety of items plus prices are reasonable. Will definitely be shopping here. ?

Lots of value for my money at this store. Things that can be expensive at a regular shop can be bought here at very reasonable prices. Don't miss out

Love this store. Lots of good finds and staff is always welcoming and friendly. Been to many thrift stores but this is the best among all. Great prices & lots of variety.

I enjoyed myself, it was clean & orderly... If i needed help i knew they would help me..so ya i lived it not only are prices reasonable, but it goes to a good cause..

I have been coming here for a while now, the staff are beyond great! Store is very well maintained. A few days ago, my home unfortunately was burned down, I had nothing the amazing manager, was able to help me obtain my basic needs supplies...I was so happy I almost cried. There is a great selection of everything u could think of. And they also have an amazing rewards program, and a sale every day! I seriously recommend! Thank you Bissel!

I love thrifting! Prices are reasonable. Always a sale happening. Selection is good. Isles are very small. Workers are friendly and polite. Community outreach programs available for those that need it. Be sure to check out the displays by the shoe section! I recommend this thrift store.
