The sales staff at this location seem bored. Why would I spend money here if the staff are so terrible? Would rather spend my money at a store where the purchasing experience is more pleasant.

I will review the Oakridge Vancouver store here as well since the store is closing soon. They get a 4.5. I originally called the Oakridge store about 18 k earrings out of stock online. They found 1 stud at Park Royal and another at the downtown Vancouver store. Over the phone, they helped me special-transfer ordered them to Oakridge. This was five star service. They lost marks for not telling explicitly telling me how the pouch worked (I thought I lost an earring) and for not telling me how to tighten the butterfly backing (I lost a backing on day 5). Maybe it's common knowledge...I have no clue since I haven't worn earrings in 20+ years due to ear lobe infections. Due to COVID hour changes, I couldn't call in for help until day 7. Oakridge said they would've replaced for free but they had no stock since they were in the process of closing (Oakridge area rejuvenation project). Park Royal said they do not have any replacements and would charge to order one. Dwntown Vancouver said that if they had a replacement in store they would replace for free or special order one for a fee. After a 40 min trip... 1. A Birk representative opened the door in and out, so I didn't have to touch the handles 2. Inside it was spacious, bright, and clean. 3. The Birk representative inside was super friendly and helpful. He found the replacement and taught me how to tighten the butterfly backing. 4. He showed me another variety of earrings and there was no sales pressure. The downtown location gets 5 stars. Wonderful service considering I didn't buy from their location. I'm so glad I went with Birks. It was really hard finding a store I trusted that carried quality 18k earrings. I'm also glad I didn't go with an online only store. I am already eyeing their pearls and Muse earrings. Will come back to this location whenever possible. Happy customer.

Have given my watch to them for a simple repair on pins which have come loose. As this is a Birks branded watch I felt it would be a great option. They said they no longer fix in store, they send to Montreal. This was given to them Oct 2 and promised back latest Nov 2. After hearing nothing I then called, they didn’t seem to be able to track the ticket at first; the rep left a voicemail two days later saying it would be an additional 4 weeks. Now we have surpassed that and are coming up on 2 months for pins to be fixed. I’m extremely unsatisfied with the service, organization of their repairs and the timeline and lack of follow up. I will say however the Birks watch is older, durable, still stylish and has always worked incredibly well for me. As a purchase it was fantastic.

If you are planning a trip to Birks in downtown Vancouver, I highly recommend Jayne. She helps us choose a wedding band as well as an upgrade on my engagement ring. Communicating with her via email was so easy, she provided ALL the information that I was looking for in a timely manner, and she was always super kind. Highly recommend. Don't go with any sales associate - go and find Jayne!

Website says you service Rolex Watches - Indifferent, dismissive, unfriendly sales associate tells me you don't. Best if you could correct one or the other - and the attitude.

My boyfriend bought my Ering at Birks and it’s gorgeous :) Wendy who has helped us to select our perfect ring is such a wonderful staff. She’s so kind and supportive whenever we visit the store.

The staff even sparkle. An institution for jewelry and jewelry gift boxes. Half the gift is how it comes wrapped and Birk's goes the extra mile- watch out "Mr. Bean" . If you aren't into buying jewelry, you need to go and if you are into buying jewelry you need to go. Enjoy the sparkle of timeless pieces and if you can't get into the jewelry the building is a work of art itself, just standing in the space is amazing. The high ceilings and wonderful old architecture make the experience not only for the recipient of the gift but for all who enter. So, if you're sitting on your phone, tablet or computer get off and get someone something special. These aren't gifts you can buy over the internet.
