Big T’s BBQ and Smokehouse is a family owned and operated business in beautiful Southern Alberta. Honing our craft in the restaurant industry for 20 years, we’ve grown Big T’s (open in 2004, we took over in 2014) to four locations, and counting! Our award winning and authentic, made from scratch BBQ promises a Smokin’ Experience For Your Tastebuds™ every time. Savoury, made from scratch rubs + infamous, so good they’re drinkable sauces are paired with traditional BBQ meats, slow smoked and grilled to perfection.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely phenomenal dinner and service! We got in before their big dinner rush and were treated to immaculate service by the most wonderful lady, and the food was unreal. We tried a couple of different items on the menu and each one was better than the last, super flavorful and generous portion sizes. It was our first time visiting but will certainly not be the last!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When we want to take our boys out for a special dinner this is often where they will ask to go! The staff is so friendly, the food is great, the dining area is pretty big and very clean. The food portions are big, prices are decent, special hot sauces are amazing... Always a great place and I like taking friends here too, they end up coming back for more as well!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic BBQ!! They have truly mastered the art of smoking meat!! First tried it when we saw it pop up on the show “You Gotta Eat Here!” We we’re not disappointed. Lots of Gluten free options. They even have gluten free beer and dessert which is always hard to find anywhere. Highly recommend!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a late dinner there on Sunday night and can say the environment was not loud and it was easy to have a conversation without having to yell. The service was good we didn't have to wait long to get a seat or to order. The food prices are on par with other restaraunt with similar menu's not cheap but the food quality definitely make what you pay worth it. If you enjoy BBQ this is definitely a place you should try.

We are so lucky to have Big T's in Deer Run and to have great people like Lisa who work there! Highly recommend for a feast or to stop in for a snack when out fora rude on the bikes!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was recommended this place while visiting. Did not disappoint. Decent sized space, was fairly empty when I went mid week and slightly later. Typical bbq/diner type vibe. Friendly staff. Helpful with recommendations and ordering the right amount of food. Food was very tasty

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great afternoon lunch at Big T's in Deer Run today. Went with a friend and braved the Brisket BBQ Burger for 18.50, 2 dollars extra for cheese. Could barely get my big mouth around it before sinking my teeth in and the favor of this 6oz patty with brisket just demolished the hunger after a hard day of moving furniture. If you get a chance, go for it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered prawn and poutine to start and ribs, fish, salad, brisket, and their burger for main.
Poutine was spot on. Crispy fries and delicious gravy.
Shrimp was OK
St. Louis Rack was very well prepared. Baby-back ribs was a big miss. Fish was good Brisket was good. Corn breads needed 30 seconds to a minutes more in the oven.
The hostess was nice and friendly.
Overall a good dining experience.
