Needed a little something to tide me over on a late afternoon so I popped in here since I was staying down the street. This is what $12 gets you here. Popcorn chicken which was just okay but Ivthought would be around $7-8 Maybe their other stuff is good but I wouldn't recommend this.

A juicy and large piece of fried chicken steak. Ordered the Cajun flavour, tasted a little sweet for some odd reason. But way too expensive for just one piece.

It's what it says it is on both the sign and on the display. A huge chicken steak fried and served hot. Coating is a little salty (, Taiwanese style) and the jumbo has some bones, that said why not a better rating? Well it's hot, crispy and delicious, but the coating doesn't actually stick and that results in the meat separating and being eaten in two mouthfuls. If it was together, this would be an excellent spot, but for now, remains a situational meh

I remember trying these ginormous fried chicken steaks at the Richmond Night Market one year. It's nice to see them venture out to brick and mortar locations in Richmond and now, in downtown Vancouver. Opted for the boneless chicken bites, yam fries, regular fries, fried oyster mushrooms and fried squid balls. The chicken was quite tasty, not too oily. The batter had a mix of spice and sweetness. The meat was juicy and tender - kicked up chicken nuggets! Hand cut fries and yam fries were crispy and tender. Table fave were the fried oyster mushrooms, unique and umami. The squid balls were nice, but needed a condiment other than ketchup or sweet n spicy sauce. Very friendly staff. The price point is ok, but on the higher end all things considered. A nice treat every once in a while.

It's recently re-opened, so the environment is nice simple and clean. Staff are friendly, service was good. We ordered the original salt and pepper flavor big chicken steak, staff kindly reminded it's bones in. It's big enough to share with 2 people. We liked the initial taste, freshly made, crispy and similar to Taiwan chicken nuggets. Husband said it tastes similar to what he had in Taiwan. However, it is a bit pricy and after few bites, it became too greasy to me halfway through.

I'm probably wasting my time writing this review because I'd be surprised if they're still in business by the time you can read it. Hands down the worst dining experience in over 20 years. If trying to communicate with Asian girls who obviously learned English as a second language isn't fun enough, throw a diaper on their face and stick them behind plexiglass like you're visiting someone who is doing time in a Turkish prison. And those were the best parts of this disgraceful dining experience. $16.99 plus tax will get you two pieces of reheated dried out overcooked chicken cooked in what I could only guess is oil that's never been changed since they open this dump. Their peppercorn noodles consisted of two pieces of wilted overcooked broccoli cold spaghetti noodles and some brown sauce all served in their own little compartments of a dish that also looks like it belong in a Turkish prison. Apparently you're expected to ensemble the dish yourself for some weird unknown reason but it's not at all what it appeared to be on the menu. By the way the dishes advertised on their sandwich board outside are not advertised on their beat up little menu wrapped in plastic Saran wrap with tiny little pictures and strange hard to read names with Asian writing. Don't waste your money here you can get better food from the garbage can outside with far more professional and courteous service.

Not bad for a late night snack! Was looking for a shop that sells snacks and stumbled upon Big G on our way back to the hotel. We ordered squid balls and popcorn chicken, both of which were very flavourful. This store was opened until 10pm on Saturday which is a rare find in DT Vancouver, everything seems to close so early nowadays.
