Bid416 Auctions

It's a half decent online auction but what got me was the shipping costs. I use another GTA online auction site with similar website format and products and..... I am trying to be very supportive and civil: shipping was very expensive here in comparison to the other. My items were small, light, not weird shape or having much requirements for shipping service from this site. I have recieved heavier, larger, more awkward items from the other auction site (humidifiers, heaters, fans in their boxes, damaged repackaged boxes) and paid equal shipping costs ($30-$50 per auction win of approximately 3 large items in total for the combined shipping) to what this site offers ($26-27 for the 2-3 small, light shippable items). As well, I only participated in two auctions and both had similar cost for shipping so I got a friend who also won a couple items and his shipping cost was nearly the same as mine. We live in the same housing complex so I wanted to see if his rate was more or less then mine. It just seems very strange that smaller items cost more to ship from GTA to NFLD but another auction site in the GTA sends larger, heavier or awkward items for similar rates using the same carriers. Maybe I'm expecting too much or missing something. I spent more in shipping on this site then the value of the auction wins. Buyer beware. This might be good option for people in the GTA / Ontario but it made no sense for me. I would be afraid to win a large item on this site and find out the shipping costs afterwards. I do not have this issue with the other site and feel more comfortable to use online retailers at their regular price then pay double or triple once hit with shipping costs. The items offered online are a nice assortment (clothes, housewares, little gadgets etc) good description of each item, easy to use format of their auctioning platform. Before I joined the site or bid I did email my question/concern about shipping before hand (and disclosed my use of the other site and experience with their shipping) which was promptly and politely answered. That's the only reason why I bid and took a chance at this site, given my prior GTA online other auction site experience (positive) and this auction site's customer service reply (positive): it was worth trying. Safely, it might not be worth it in my case to continue bidding as the shipping outweighs the value of the items that can be obtained from online retailers full price with free shipping to cost less (in my case) then what I pay on this auction site as a total. It was otherwise a good experience and maybe a better deal if I lived in the GTA. Moving to another province... And during the pandemic and natural disaster has impacted local availability of stock and why I reached out to online sites like these to access products delivered to my door as the next closest stores or capital city is 1-3 hours drive away. Living remote rural / coastal areas: online purchase and delivery has been a blessing. I wish I could have continued utilization of this site, it had some great deals. Ps: I am hardly fair apparently: see for yourself. My review is not good enough for the owner but it's my opinion and experience and freedom of speech in a free and democratic society. In my experience and with similar vendors and services providers: this site was "a little high" whether they are in control of the shipping cost or not; I'm saying it seems inflated and not equal to other establishments I spend a few thousand a year on other sites same like this one. So yes I believe my review is fair, but thank you for demonstrating your gratitude to a paying customer who paid their invoice on time and left a fair review as per their perspective and experience. Incase I am slandered a liar: attached are example bills Indicating the shipping costs and items that were shipped and the price and shipping provider: to illustrate my confusion about the huge difference in item size and cost when compared to MY experience. Evidence can defend and speak for itself.

Perhaps it is time to share my email. Yes there were other issues that I didn't mention to him . Like the missing nut because it was an easy fix. We had to go to two places to get it but we found the part. I am not a complainer I like to leave good reviews when they are warranted. Here is a copy of my emails . And yes I did say that they made the sale and lost the customer and I would leave a review. That is what reviews are for. I am out of pocket because of missing inventory?? The chandelier is missing a critical component. You all can be the judge. Again that is what these reviews are for. But as you see from my experience it is buyer beware or at the very least the hassle of returning it to them at your own cost. I asked them to pay the shipping and I would take it all apart and send it back. Look at the email. Why should I have to pay the shipping AGAIN when it was a their defective item? Just saying I won't buy from a place that sells marginal products again. They are Liquidators I should have known better.

Great people, great company. My regular auction. Shame you have someone posting over and over negative reviews... but makes them look petty and unbelievable. My experience for past year has always been positive and never had a problem returning an item if it didn't work.

Wide enough variety of items, and the management is good to their word and return policy that if it doesn't work (through no fault of your own), they will accept a return. Fair bidding system (no reserves, no last minute yanking). They do test their merchandise as best possible - which I've seen demonstrated myself.

I am using Bid 416 for almost a year and let me say, I am impressed with their policies and fairness. Really good prices. Customer service is great. Phoned in couple of times with questions and always got the answers I need with smile. Never got any damaged item. Got wrong item once and it took just one call with Scott to fix it. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. This is the best auction in GTA as compared to others.

Won't be shopping here. I don't often peruse Toronto-based bid websites, but they have a decent selection of frozen beef. While searching for a lovely piece of steak to bid on. I saw the steak of my standards and was thinking about bidding. But it occurred to me, what if I was making a miSTEAK by ordering from this website instead of going to my local grocery store? I began intensive research on the company. TO MY SHOCK, the company has had multiple issues with customers! I gasped. Apparently they have even said racist remarks to pillars within the Toronto community. This was the last straw. I exited out of the website and started shopping at my local grocery store.

Customer service is amazing. The owner Scott is honest, easy to communicate, and quick response. Also, the staffs are very efficient when time to pickup my items. 48 weeks with Bid416 auctions and counting.

Very bad company to deal with, they post original brand new pictures of the product which will make you think that it is good, clean and new, but actually they are old stuff , used and returned by other people. The colour of the products is also will mislead you , for example I pick something as it looks on the box as grey in colure and I found it is black, they even did not mentioned on the description of the product as it is black which you may not like it. I went to pick up the stuff I found , the place is like dirty warehouse none organized at all, and the customer services not professional , you will feel like that they just want to get of the stuff. Please do not over bid, this stuff is worthless. They sell the garbage of the other store to us.
