★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to see The Nutcracker at the Betty Oliphant Theatre. It was a fairly intimate venue for ballet, which was nice. Seating was good and acoustics (the music was pre-recorded) were adequate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a lovely theater space that hosts a variety of different shows. The stage is large enough to house a full orchestra, as was shown by the stage design of Tapestry Opera’s “Jaqueline du Prez.”
The only negative was that there seemed to be only a single restroom for the entire audience (all genders) and I ended up having to haggle to keep my place against octogenarians who likewise needed to go. For that, I’ve had to remove a star but otherwise it was a lovely evening!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice theatre with stadium seating. Good acoustics, but incredibly uncomfortable seats. Very hard with no leg support. Such a shame for this theatre. Aisles between seats are generous, but the actual seats are awful.
