So, I'm trying to order a new TV for my parents, and get an mount installed. I chat and ask if they can do this. I am routed to 5 different people before I am told that yes, I can get installation, but you have to order the TV first and then get best buy to do it. This makes no sense (why not just bundle the TV with the installers!?!) but fine. It will cost $175 bucks, which is more than a handyman would charge, but fine. I order the TV and attempt to arrange installation and mounting. After being shunted to three people, I finally get told to phone the local store for Geek Squad. All in all I'm at like 90 minutes on the phone/chat. Now that I've ordered and speaking to a human, I am told: "Sorry, that will be $350. It's only $175 if the TV is a thousand bucks." This directly contradicts what I was told earlier. The person doesn't have the authority or ability to track the order on her end either (I've worked tech procurement and this makes no sense to me but whatever, maybe BB is too big to realistically integrate it's delivery/services/inventory). So now that I've been lied to, I attempt to cancel the order on the TV and I can't: even though it's 6 in the evening and I've only ordered 30 minutes ago, the purchase and shipping is locked in and there is no way to cancel. I can manually return if I want by taking it to the store, or flatly refuse delivery. I cancel the extended warranty after being told it can be re-instated within 30 days if I change my mind. After I've calmed down enough to think about it, I decide to keep the TV anyway since I can arrange manual installation and I'm not sure if I'll get refunded if I refuse delivery. I call to re-engage, and find that it has to be done online after being given a 3 minute wait time that turns into a 45 minute wait time. I attempt to use the online order tracker but it flatly doesn't work, despite me using copy paste on the order number and email address. Now I'm going to have to drive to the BB to get that as well as arranging a handyman. I've probably spent 180 minutes in the past few days on hold or chatting with people. This is very silly.

The bad first: I got invited to the VIP sale. First, I walked around for at least 15 minutes while being ignored. Second, they were sold out of the advertised in I came in to get. But it was being ignored while some staff were standing in bunches chatting with each other. The good: The store is generally very tidy and organized. Prices are pretty average. The staff seem a little under trained. If you can find the product at London Drugs you are way better off.

This Best Buy store has gotten so much better with their customer service. Most of the employees are very helpful, now. I've used their Geek Squad sevices and it was great. Anytime I had a technical problem, they answer my questions. I like how they stay up-to-date with all their products. Also, this location has lots of parking and an elevator for easy access.

Do not buy a new cell phone ( or anything else for that matter) from these people they signed me up for some geeksquad service I did not ask for and has reoccurring charges on my card that i did not authorize. I keep having to dispute these fraudulent charges even had to cancel my card and still having issues what their sales people do is pretty much credit card fraud

Marc gave excellent service! i told him everything i was looking for and my price range and he gave great advice. We're even working in the same industry on the side, social media marketing, and had lots of industry knowledge.

Took my mother there to get a new phone, and switch carriers so she could add data to her line. The "salesman" wasted our time, writing down useless numbers on a sheet of paper for about 30 minutes. There was a constant push for financing the phone (we'll get back to that) and actively discouraged buying the phone out right. When the numbers were finally calculated for the phone and plan we said we were interested in, it was more than mu mother could afford. So I said I would buy the phone outright. Suddenly that model is not available. Obviously he is incetivized to sell more phones on a plan.. but do you have to overtly try to take advantage of people? We walked out immediately while he was still writing numbers down. Now let's address this financing option. Is it good for some people who can't afford the full cost of the phone? Yes. Is it ACTUALLY saving you money? Heck no. This option is literally there to trap you into back to back financing contracts or else you pay the full price plus a fee. Be better Canada ?? you shouldn't be actively trying to swindle people.

If I could offer a negative rating, I would. There is no customer service. I purchased a fridge Jan 5 and am told it will be delivered Jan 18. You can't phone your nearest location because they don't answer calls. I can't arrange shipping for a time I'm home, I'm supposed to take the day off from work. No one knows which shipping company is being used and customers are not able to contact shipping directly. They don't open till 11 and orders are already prepared by the time you are able to contact someone who might know anything. If you order online, you are on your own. Pathetic service from an incompetent company.. Avoid at all costs.

I can’t say enough about the wonderful experience I had when I checked in for a curb side order last night. I arrived at 7pm and checked in on my phone that I was in stall 3 for pick up. When I looked at the store they looked like they were closing so I checked online and yes they closed at 7pm. I waited a couple of minutes and didn’t see anyone coming so I left. I was a block away when my phone rang and when I answered it a lovely young lady named Amanda from Best Buy told me that she saw my check in for my order and if I was still in the area to come back for my order. I was so surprised by her amazing customer service that I had to write this review. Amanda you are a star and I thank you for what you did for me.
