We rented one of Bendale’s Vacation Properties in the 1000 Islands. The property exceeded our expectations. We were treated first class and the staff were professional and knowledgeable. If you are looking for a property to rent for your summer holiday, these are the people to contact! We have already booked for next year!

Wish I could give zero stars. Bendale has been charging me for a parking space that I have not been provided for 7 months. Emails to Tim Doherty are completely ignored. When I show up at their office, I am assured the problem will be fixed, but am charged again month after month. And the parking spot? Well the excuse is that someone else originally did the parking assignments and left no record of who was assigned what spot. Not my fault, so why am I being charged for someone's incompetence? Legal action might be the only way to set things right, and that's just ridiculous. The most incompetent company I've ever dealt with.

We have had the pleasure of renting from Bendale for two years and are so happy with the relationship we have with them. They are quick to reply and tend to any issues, always available to troubleshoot potential problems and work hard to advocate for their clients. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to rent a property!

Bendale and Vince Bennett took over the management at the Barriefield in 2018. I had an existing agreement from FCC 18 to receive certain financials on a regular basis, the result of a small court claim I won. I emailed Bennett over 6 times in the last 2 years and he did not reply, breaking the rules of our condo corp, his contract agreement and the agreement to get those records. Just this week he emailed me after the lawyers obviously told him that he was in the wrong. Now he wants me to communicate with him only through the lawyers, which will cost our corporation extra money for nothing, except to provide him cover at our expense. Bennett then reported to KPF that I had cost FCC 18 over $100,000 maliciously. This was untrue and without any proof whatsoever. He did this to try to shut me up. Now he is bringing the lawyers in to defend him. I have rarely met someone that I trust less than Bennett. He likes to play the bully and ignore owners who don't agree with him. Quite often, he had to correct several times announcements to owners because there were mistakes in the first few. The quality control at Bendale for communications is just about non existent. Bendale has very little idea of how to use the website effectively. Since his arrival, owners no longer can attend board meetings. Bennett does not like to share info, he keeps it to himself to help his control of everything. Bendale is also one of the most expensive management co's, so we end paying a lot for poor results.

Been involved with Bendale since February 2020. Been in business over 30 years and have some of the best people in the business working there. I am happy with the services they provide and they are always there to help. Kudos to the business and the team!!!

Bendales managed our property for about 8 years. After a little bit of a rough start, our file was taken over by Angela and it was smooth sailing from there. Very responsive and scheduled invoices/banking transactions. Very pleasant and friendly conversations.

Canceled agreement mid season only does sub par advertising effort (post on kiji which did not work at times) and cleaning on turnovers was far from acceptable. It should be noted the term of the agreement was actually 24 months beginning from June 2020 with 120 day notice period after the expiry of the first 12 months. Notice was provided last week and the season would normally run till end of October. In terms of the micromanagement comment Vince says below: when one of the renters, who I found, was told to expect someone to install the deck screen door and they didn't show, nor was any timing provided I clearly needed to take matters into my own hands to address the service issue. The renter was not at all pleased she could not use the deck door due to the lack of the screen and I did not want the other renters to experience the same issue. Given your fee of 20% of gross rental income I don't think the amount of time we call to check on status of rentals or maintenance issues is unreasonable. Everyone is entitled to their point of view.
