About Belks Financial Strategies Inc.
Being raised by both parents who are self-employed has taught me a lot about how business and taxes work. I started working in a family sporting goods business as a teenager with my dad for many years as well as owning and running other business ventures. It has taught me the importance of putting the clients needs first and the satisfaction of helping people in general. With my mom and sister being accountants and running an accounting firm, I have also learned a lot about tax laws and depending how you spend or save your money can be very different on the amount of taxes you pay.
I started with Freedom 55 Financial in 2007, my prior experiences have been a huge help in my career of being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. I love helping people and putting a solid plan in place to succeed at whatever goal is unique to them. I take pride in helping my clients build their wealth.. I believe many people are not taking advantage of proper financial planning, that helps minimize taxes. Although I feel it is fair to pay your share of taxes, I don’t feel you should overpay either. I take the time to work with anyone interested in meeting with me whether already successful or just ready to start the journey. Although personal planning is a big part of my practice, working with professionals and business owners is exciting for me. I love to hear how it all started, the challenges, success and the end goal. I find even when extensive planning has already been done, I can always bring a new idea to the table that brings more than enough value to not waste anyone’s time.
