After being told by another insurance group that there would be no way that I could register a ‘93 Suzuki Sidekick because when my dad gave it to me he no longer had the original sales receipt (he just used it for puttering around the pastures - but it was still in great shape) and so I didn’t have the correct paperwork. While renewing my policy at Guild on my daily driver, I mentioned my Sidekick being an Off Road Vehicle only, the agent there corrected me and we began the process. It’s called a “Declaration of Ownership” and it cost me $15. It was still a process, but at least I didn’t have to drive to Saskatchewan to try and get a signature from the original owner, who I managed to get a hold of on the phone and who had no time for my inquires.
I have been very satisfied with my experience with Guild Insurance!
