★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for the Hot Chocolate Festival and got the Blush Berries hot chocolate - was delightful but felt something extra was missing for the price. Nice seating inside and out front, and the staff were friendly enough. Was surprised and a little put off by the messy bathroom however..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This coffee shop is classy and serves up some great lattes. The pastry is pretty good, as well as the sandwiches they have available. I recently went for the hot chocolate festival drink and really loved their creation - the yummy raspberry hot chocolate! However, I wasn’t as impressed with their service as the guy at the counter barely spoke to me. I do hope it would be better the next time I pay them a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been to Bel Cafe a couple of times and recently tried their frozen raspberry turnovers via Legends Haul.
The pastry was so good, I didn’t even need the raspberry filling. I don’t know how much butter there was, but it was flaky and crispy and delicious. The directions were simple and the package even came with the parchment paper.
I don’t know if the price point would have me going back each week, but I would definitely try some of their other products.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped in for breakfast. It was awesome! I had the breakfast sandwich and my wife had the breakfast kale wrap. Lots of flavor and great portions. We both had lattes as well with their home vanilla, this was amazing!! Highly recommend, going back tomorrow for a latte.

Not only do they have excellent coffee, they also have tasty pastries. There’s not too many cafes downtown that can satisfy me with both coffee and pastries. But I dislike the fact that it’s a small cafe and very busy. Especially in the mornings where I’m looking for a calm and relaxing way to begin my day. I sometimes visit the one located in Kitsilano. It’s bigger and quieter. PS: If you like croissants and you like sour things, you should definitely check out the raspberry croissant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My coworker and I came to this cafe only because of their chocolate croissants. We were starving. The guy burnt our croissants and only had three other things to choose from. I chose a muffin which ended up being so dry and a waste of money. If it was me, I would have given the customer their money back and obviously replaced it with something else. Really bad service, train your staff better!
