J’ai acheté des chaussures en ligne chez Banana Republic. Lorsque j’ai tenté de les retourner en magasin, aux Promenades St-Bruno, la conseillère n’a rien voulu entendre et a insinué que je les aurais portées, or ce n’était pas le cas, je les ai reçues ainsi, un peu (vraiment, a peine) égratignées en dessous et selon ses dires “décolorées “ à l'intérieur?!?
Tout ce qu’on pouvait m’offrir était une note de crédit, ce qui, selon moi n’était pas acceptable vues les circonstances. Quand je lui ai demandé quel autre recours j’avais; parler à son/sa gérant(e) ou??? Elle m’a répondu, avec son plus beau sourire, que c’était elle!
Plus jamais je n’irai à ce magasin! Pourtant j’étais une bonne cliente! Quel abus de pouvoir! C’est vraiment frustrant de se faire traiter ainsi!
Heureusement, une employée du service à la clientèle, à qui j’ai téléphoné, par la suite, a consulté mon “dossier“ d’achats/retours pour s’assurer que ce n’était pas qqch que je faisais habituellement, a pu régler la situation rapidement avec beaucoup plus de jugement!
Total disrespect / abuse of power!
I bought shoes online at Banana Republic. When I tried to return them to the store, at Promenades St-Bruno, the counselor did not want to hear anything and insinuated that I would have worn them, but this was not the case, I received them like this, a few (really, barely) scratched underneath and in his words “discolored” inside?!?
All I could be offered was a credit score, which I thought was not acceptable under the circumstances. When I asked him what other recourse I had; talk to his / her manager or ??? She replied, with her best smile, that it was her!
I will never go to this store again! Yet I was a good customer! What an abuse of power! It’s really frustrating to be treated like this!
Fortunately, a customer service employee, whom I later called, looked at my purchase / returns “file” to make sure it wasn't something I usually did, was able to deal with the situation quickly with much more judgment!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst experience ever! Total lack of respect from the sales clerk. She called security on me as I was paying for the item that I had come to try on because they didn’t have it in a nearby Banana republic store. Reason for calling security: I pulled down my mask while trying on the item and there was nobody within 20 feet of me. She threatened to throw me out of the store. I pulled up my mask after trying on the item and proceeded to the cash, where she took exception to my complaint about her tone and threats. At no point did I yell, insult, swear, or threaten the clerk. My card was in the machine when she called security. I had her cancel the transaction and left. 0 stars for the branch at Promenades Saint Bruno. I’ve been buying clothes at many Banana Republic stores for years. Never before have I encountered such behaviour from a salesperson there.
