Dug in before I remembered to take a photo. Oops! Had the combo with Rendang and Balinese chicken which were both great, their home made sambal is also totally BOMB. Friendly owners as well. Highly recommend!

I wanted my bf to try some Indonesian food so we went to Bali Thai. I ordered the siomay. It came with a boiled egg cut in half, few pieces of cabbages, tofu, fish cake and peanut sauce. It was just okay, I could barely taste the fish and pretty pricey for almost $15.

Bali Thai is a rare gem in Vancouver. Wonderful Indonesian foods and great services. This place is located inside the International village food court. Reminds me of an authentic β€œWarung” style restaurant as if you are in Indonesia. Their β€œNasi Campur” is so flavourful especially the beef rendang. The lady at the counter is super friendly and accommodating always called me β€œMy Dear”. :) Highly recommended and will be back for more.

According to two of my Indonesian foodie friends, Bali Thai is hands down the most authentic Indonesian food you can find in the city. I am not Indonesian and only went to Bali once so I am no judge of what's authentic, but damn is their food tasty! I tried their noodles and smashed chicken so far and the flavor is wonderful! They also have this home made spicy sauce that's actually spicy and tasty and goes really well with the rice and noodles. Definitely a place to visit if you enjoy Indonesian food!

Truly authentic and humble hidden gem, with generous portions and the most friendly staff. Each dish was amazing and brought me right back home, satisfied all cravings for local Indonesian food. Definitely worth a try!

My second time eating Indonesian food in Vancouver was pretty good! I must admit, for a food court all in all it was pretty pricey and I've paid around the same for dine in restaurant experiences at other joints but the quality is just as good. However, the food was super yummy, a plentiful portion and made fresh to order for about a 15 minute wait. All in all, it was worth it and is a great place to grub. The staff here are also super friendly, kind and approachable here. Support local business!

The food is so good! This unpretentious shop in a food court totally deserve the high rating it has. I ordered the Soto Betawi (creamy beef soup served with steamed rice). The soup was fragrant and delicious with tender pieces of beef and beef tendon. Perfect with rice. I added a little sambal to the soup and it had even more kick. My hubby got the Ayam Penyet (smashed chicken) and it was very tasty too. We also got a side of 6 chicken satay. Coupled with 2 hot teas, our meal came up to around $46 before tips. The lady serving us was super friendly too. What a great lunch!
