J	Johanna Roach on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very clean rooms. The beds were very comfy. The courtyard patio uses plastic chairs on the grass and not great to sit on a very hot day We did the dinner and room package and were very pleased. If you have mobility issues I would not recommend staying here.
L	Lisa Hall on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was mediocre at best. Entrees were bland and we couldn’t get anything deep fried. The club sandwich was only redeemed by the bacon and the ceviche was nothing to write home about. We won’t be back. It was kinda disappointing. We really wanted it to be fabulous.

We enjoyed our dinner- great flavours and generous portions which was so satisfying after our afternoon of exploring the village. The leg-workout & cardio we got from climbing to the third floor was a good way to burn off the tasty treats we indulged in over the course of the day. And while the tv internet connection had its challenges, we were still able to spend a fun evening relaxing in the room. Couple things would have earned an extra star in this review: - post the wifi password please - secure better internet connectivity - emergency exit routes need to be posted in each room - explain checkout procedures and save old knees from doing those stairs twice in the morning! Overall a good time…lotta laughs and we love Merrickville!

Sadly, the “service” and attitude of the owner who - was also our ‘server’ - was so appalling it overshadowed the beautiful setting and decent food. Despite being the only patrons in the restaurant he was inattentive and rude. Will never eat there again.

D	David Rempel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We really enjoyed the picturesque courtyard, delectable food, extensive drink menu and exceptional staff. The tables and chairs were comfortable. Grace was our waitress. She was very professional and knowledgeable. She had the giant beer menu memorized and could provide insightful commentary on the beverages. There were three plasticized menus; drinks, tapas and the primary menu. The food was served promptly. The waitress returned within a couple of minutes to check on our satisfaction with the meals. A great experience.

Beautiful touches in the dining room, our Junior Suite ( #6) was wonderful.The big windows looked out over the back patio garden and the jet tub worked well. The bathroom was quite small. Apparently this is the nicer room of the two Junior Suites, according to an employee. Our TV plug in connection didn't work, so they got a long extension cord from the basement for us. The meal in the dining room was very good...the short ribs were SO tender...melted in your mouth. Loved the whole experience and hope to come back in the summer to check out all of the patio gardens, etc. in town. Pretty place!
