Beautiful country store with lots of country items. Award winning fudge and little knick knacks. The staff are all so very friendly as well.

I made this review using my fiancé's account as I don't have one: My mom, aunt, my sister and I took the day to visit Merrickville, and this shop was one of our stops. While my aunt was making a purchase, I happened to come across a paned window that has the exact number of panes needed for my upcoming wedding. It wasn't well displayed, but we could visibly see the price marked on both sides. We then proceeded to ask the man working if it was for sale as we saw the price marked. He said he didn't think so, but checked with someone in the back to confirm. He then said "oh no its not for sale, we paid $25 when we bought it but its just a display". We thanked him and carried on with our day. As the day went on, I wondered if he would ever consider selling given he wasn't sure at first, it was placed randomly on the floor with other items for sale, and it was exactly what I had been looking for. My mom decided she would go back with my aunt and ask for me as we were all too shy and didn't want to offend him by asking again. They went in and were speaking to the woman that was working and reassured they knew it was bought for display, but politely asked if there was any price that would be considered for the window, or not. The man erupted from behind and began screaming and waving his arms at them both, yelling "IT IS NOT FOR SALE, IT HAS NEVER BEEN FOR SALE, AND NEVER WILL BE! I SAID IT BEFORE! ITS NOT ABOUT THE PRICE! WE BOUGHT THIS YEARS AGO FOR DISPLAY ONLY AND IT'S ONLY FOR DISPLAY!". The woman working appeared a bit embarrassed and offered the location that they bought the frame, but the man yelled again, still flailing "They can Google it! They have lots! Go there because ours isn't for sale!!". My mother and aunt both have extremely soft demeanors and so its even more unsettling and frustrating that they were spoken to like that. They just said thank you and left, but what I would like to know is if they speak to all their customers like this. Our suggestion would be to a) remove previous price markings and b) put a "display only" sticker on these items. We will not be shopping here again after this abusive behavior for a simple question.

A vary fun place to visit! They have an amazing selection in souvenirs, furniture, and toys and funny signs. Not to mention the amazing differant types fudge! If your in the area you should visit.

This is a wonderful store with amazing, friendly, helpful and caring staff. There are amazing products at very reasonable prices! Love making the trip to Merrickville to see what treasures I will find here. Also the fudge is AMAZING!!!

This is a great place, especially at Christmas. The store is absolutely filled with kickbacks and decorations. The best part of the place is the homemade fudge. There are about a dozen different flavors. Great place. Friendly service. Highly recommended.

The fudge on its own is worth the visit. Country Bumpkins is always a stop on our outings to lovely Merrickville. Yesterday, it was for a six-pack of fudge, which included vanilla-caramel, chocolate and maple. All absolutely delicious and sooooo fresh!
