If you have Tracy Barber as your physio, expect to pay an intial fee of $85 for "consultation." (Other places do not have this, mind you...they will give you relief on the first day) You will spent your first appointment being educated on how important exercise is and nothing else. Boom, -$85. For your following appointments, expect to pay $55 for 30 mins of chit chat. You will be sitting in the room...learning about the science and anatomy behind physiotherapy. I think you will be able to become a physiotherapist yourself after your sessions but as for the pain? The whole reason you went to see a physiotherapist in the first place? Yeah, it is a total joke. Honestly, do not waste your time coming here. Other places (e.g Kerrisdale physio) will charge you $45 for your visits and they start working on your body on day 1. You will begin to find relief after your first appointment. Tracy Barber wasted my time and money. I am so angry that I wasted $200+ coming here. I am an idiot.

Really appreciated Sharon's thorough initial assessment. She quickly identified the cause of my shoulder pain, and it was much improved after one treatment. I now consider visits to her part of my routine maintenance!

Accidents happen and so do overuse injuries. I have been to Tracy Barber for both and some! I am guilty of not always doing the tedious exercises that don’t show much and additional strengthening work to balance out the strenuous demands I put on my body. I train about 20hrs a week for endurance events and am looking to get back at it ASAP. I know that most of that comes down to what I need to be doing out of the therapy room. Tracy has guided me back to wellness many a times. If you want proactive solutions to what ails you then look no further. She will give you a comprehensive breakdown and thorough assessment with appropriate exercises to empower you so you will not be a passenger in your recovery.

I really enjoyed my experience at Balance Physio. Sharon was efficient, effective, and educational! I learned about a connection between my foot strength and my pelvis position, and as a runner this insight is game-changing! Thanks for making my leg work better, Sharon. I'll definitely be back for ongoing pre-habilitation work to improve my training!

Sharon helped me find and reinforce my balance after an accident shifted my gant and started giving me issues in my running/walking life. Care was professional and directly impactful. Those expecting a single visit and cure need to learn what physiotherapy is and for, as it's long term remediation and restoration and usage, not a quick cure process. Sharon provided this and realizable progress and rehabilitation.

Sharon is attentive, professional, personable and has great listening skills; she has been treating me for 3.5 years. I enjoy having her for the full appointment as at a number of other clinics, I’ve been left strapped to a machine or one of many patients treated at the same time. There are no cookie cutter treatments and Sharon has a number of techniques in her tool belt of treatments. I highly recommend her for acute and chronic ailments as well as rehabilitation.

I went in to see Jan Betsayda (massage therapist) for the one hour massage + deadlift package, because I had a recent back injury, and have been holding off from doing deadlifts until I felt confident that I wouldn't aggravate my back. And my back can start hurting from bending over. Because of Jan's help from the massage, the warm-up routine he gave me, and all of his pointers to correct my deadlift technique, I can now do them pain-free. I've had appointments with Jan several times to help with chronic headaches, and his massages as well as home care advice have helped make them significantly less severe. He's very knowledgeable about his craft, and gives excellent advice on how to help relieve symptoms at home. As a body-builder and personal trainer, he knows everything there is to know about stretches, warm-up routines, and exercises to help fix your problems; and he can use as much pressure as his patients need, though never seems to use too much. He's also a very nice guy, loves helping his patients progress in their recovery, and makes it clear that he is there to help with whatever he can.

Sharon is a fantastic physio. Jan is also an excellent RMT, he has a great background in all kinds of althetics and goes above and beyond for helping solve the problems behind those sore spots.
