As my first time here I found the pastries that they had left over were amazing! The cream puffs were still crispy and the filling didn't liquefy too much by the time I got home. The scone was great and moist. The texture of the topping is a nice addition. The fresh fruit croissant used quality fruits and the croissant itself was very well made. The cheese tart crust was very flaky and crispy and the the filling rich in flavor but light I'm texture. Good balance between strawberry and cheese. Over all I loved it and hope to try the other items on the menu that look amazing in IG.

My husband and I were in Yaletown today. We realized we had not visited Bake49 for almost 2 years. The shop had been renovated and sold different types of bread, pastries and beverages. We looked at the windows seeing all these delicious pastries. Wow they were very attractive and presented very well. We bought three iced beverages: matcha latte, latte einspanner, and Dalgona latte. All of they tasted excellent. Dalgona latte had the special Dalgona sugar to go with the latte. It tasted amazing that we never found it elsewhere. The latte einspanner was very unique that it had a lot of cream in it. If you don’t like cream or if you are a healthy coffee drinker, you don’t want to order this one. Matcha latte tasted great with strong matcha flavour. They did not cheap out on using ingredients. We ordered a cube pastry with custard cream. Oh my goodness!! That was the best cube croissant with custard cream (which was not too sweet). It was crunchy outside and soft inside. We could NOT find it anywhere else in Greater Vancouver. Bake49 could make this high quality of pastry. Unbelievable! Blowing our mind! The ham and cheese croissant was the best one in Vancouver. Restaurants and bakeries in Lower Mainland sell a lot of ham and cheese croissant but this one used great ingredients and the cheese was not too greasy or salty. It was so creamy, rich and filling. Even though I had finished eating it, I wanted to eat it again and again!!! The fruit croissant was great. It was huge that we had to pack it home. It was like a dessert for us. Overall, the quality, reasonable pricing, great customer service and presentation won these five stars from me!!! I would definitely go back and try other beverages, pastries and bread.

I always have to stop here by whenever I have time. One of the best bakeries downtown for sure! The gorgeous designs always make me want to try new things and the taste and quality are just superb

I saw a huge line up at this bakery and I went to check it out. After trying their crunchy cream puff I get what the hype is all about :) the texture is unique, it’s flaky but not too dry. It’s buttery but not too heavy or greasy. The filling is just so light and tasty. Honestly you can’t help but smile once you are having one of these babies. The bakery limits the number of cream puffs you can buy. I don’t blame them lol! I also tried their cheese tarts. I would say the quality is there, it’s just that I felt the cheese was too strong for my taste. But those who love cheese tarts might get a kick out of the selection they have. I also want to add that the staff is so lovely and welcoming. Give this place a try if you are around the area it’s very unique and the cream puff is a MUST!

It is a little take out window bakery spot. I tried the Japanese cheese tart. It was good, but overpriced. $4 with taxes. Honestly, I prefer the portuguese tart style. They have also matcha and strawberry tart flavor. I was impressed with huge croissants (didn't try any).

Wish I called to request the cheesecake ahead of time because i was told it was sold out when I got there at 2 when the tarts were also ready. They were pretty good, iced latte with oat milk was a bit too strong for me, service was good ??

The drinks and desserts were yummy!!! They weren't that overly sweet, just the right amount of sweet! Best of all, the waitresses were kind, so I guess that's the best part? I'd love to go back!!! I wanna try all the different flavors of bread!

Long line. Feels bad when the person in front of you clears out the entirety of one item. That said, the tarts were good and its packaging was also multi-tiered and fancy. The cheesecake was very delicious, with different textures and a nice balance of flavors. Premium price for premium quality.
