Very bad customer service. I am an Avis preferred Plus member and they quoted me rates even higher than standard rates of Enterprise Car rentals. When i told the guy about the enterprise rates, he rudely told me to go to enterprise because he can't do anything and hung up on me. I am very disappointed with the Avis customer service and will never rent with them ever again.

I was asked to reach out by Avis in the review below to tell them what happened ...Which they required lots of back information , that I had to find for them. After explaining the terrible customer service I received at the location and being double charged on my credit card and having to fight for a refund they brushed me off. Not impressed...Terrible customer service at the location and below follow up when I took the time to reach out to them

Avoid at all costs! I have never EVER experienced such horrible customer service. I spoke with 2 people at this location and both were very rude and patronizing. I had tried to book my rental online, and I was unable to complete the booking - The website stated that the payment was not accepted, and to call the location. I then call the Kitchener location. So after barking at me that I can't book my car type online (Like how the heck was I to know that SUV's are special order???) the first guy told me that I had to call back as he was out of the office and did not have a computer in front of him; sadly my powers of telepathy were obviously not working today. So I called back. The second guy was so misogynistic, unhelpful and rude, that I eventually asked to speak with another person, who would be happier to help me with my booking. I do not know if these two people were just having a bad day; but that is simply a reason and NOT an excuse - but for goodness sake, get these people onto a customer service course, before you lose all your future customers! I have worked in customer service for 20+ years, and I can honestly say that this experience has shocked me. My advice: Invest in a proper desk clerk, because these people do not belong anywhere near a telephone!

Update: After contacting Avis, I received the remaining amount back and I thank Avis for reaching out and providing a just resolution. My rating represent the behavior of staff at this particular location and is no representation of Avis customer service generally. Worst customer service ever at this location. I would pay a little bit extra but deal with people who are professional and courteous. The staff here is very rude and harassing. I booked my rental and paid online in advance just so I could get a better deal with 3100kms included for just over a month. When the vehicle was returned within stipulated time frame and mileage, no damage and fuel tank as it was given, I was still charged $500 for something which the staff was unable to explain. Instead of arguing with them, I called avis customer service, who were able to reimburse 70% of the amount, but even they were unable to explain why I was charged for that.

The two times that I have rented there it has ended in discussion, the man who attends there does not know anything about customer service, he charges you what he wants, be careful if you think they will not charge you anything extra, he has the last decision, I reported and they told me that they can't do anything even though they offered you a lower cost, I definitely won't rent there again.

Very poor customer service told us to go stand outside by the door and temperature is -13 and feels like -22, and then we went back to wait in the car and literal 5mins we check and there is a sign by the door saying "will be back in 15mins". Couldn't let us know and we were just by the parking lot. Oh my goodness can't believe this ? ?

DO NOT RENT from this Company. Absolute worst customer experience ever. Rental was booked online and all confirmations received. Conducted pre-check-in with confirmation our car was ready. Arrived from out of town to the pickup location (Kitchener) to a sign on the door saying back in 15 minutes. Called the Avis/Budget number to no answer. Received a call back from William Tout saying he was at the airport and had no cars available for at least 5 days. License to conduct business should be revoked. CIBC should consider their affiliation with this mess of a company as reputational damage extends to them as well (preferred rental company on Infinite VISA). Still on hold with ""CUSTOMER SERVICE trying to get a refund for a prepaid vehicle they didn't have. The very definition of fraud.
