About Avenue Polaris Kawasaki South
We are a family owned and operated dealership that has been in business in Portage la Prairie for 35 years. The stores' founder, Dave Gyselinck, started the company in 1980 as a new automobile dealership. The dealership began the transition into Motorsports in 1991 when we were appointed the Polaris® ATV and Snowmobile franchise. The next transition into the Motorsports world took place in 2003 when we opted to trade the Mazda new car franchise for Honda® ATVs, motorcycles, and power equipment.
In June of 2013, we opened a second location in Morden Manitoba with Polaris® and Victory®. In January 2017 after enjoying the success in Morden, we built a new facility and moved just down the road. January 2018, the Morden location saw the exciting addition of the full Kawasaki® Line including Side by Sides, ATVs, on and off-road motorcycles and Jet Ski®.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Picked up a used chinese sled. Good price, I asked if it was PDI'd, I was told "it was ready to go". When I picked it up I specifically asked if the oil had been changed and told it was. When I got it home I checked the oil, it was black, I changed it. Next day the battery was dead, switched it out, started it to find it was charging at 18.5 volts, I replaced the voltage regulator and bought a new battery. So much for a PDI.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for an oil change on a Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 Classic . The Service Manager had no knowledge at all. Had to read the manual . Horrible customer service from him , then the mechanic stripped the aluminum oil plug and didn't phone me to tell me it was done. I showed up and he blamed the previous guy that worked on it. This was a Friday morning and said he could not get it till Wednesday the next week. I made some calls got one out of Minnesota and had it overnighted to Grand Forks , picked it up the next day ( had to drive from Carman, MB. ) Cost me $150.00 for all that bother. plus the $265.00 for the oil change. Then I did it myself. PLEASE BEWARE...... There are better places to go. 2nd Chances. Needed a rear tire shortly after this bad experience. The whole team did go above and beyond to get this done in a short time. I would give this experience a 5 ?. However I feel they could have offered a bit of a discount considering the previous problems which this tire was a part of. I would give them another chance but I hope they keep there customer service the way it went this time. Good Luck.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not impressed with parts department. First they ordered the wrong parts then told parts would be in in 4 days... it’s been 2 weeks still nothing, 4 weeks total since I tried to get parts. It would be nice if they would air freight them or something to make things better or offer a some money off the order but nothing other than a “I’m sorry.” Still waiting. Will for sure be going through Portage in the future. Super frustrated!
