N	Natasha Nye on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be weary with this team if you experience a loss. I would hope for others that this was a one off situation for this team. I have had a loss previously with another midwifery team in town, and they dealt with it professionally, and referred me to an early loss unit as needed - all within one call. I understand having a number of clients, but I had to explain my miscarriage to this team 4 times, and still nothing was done as I had requested. When a woman is already in distress about losing her baby, she shouldn't have to explain to the same team what had happened numerous times. I explained it to the owner multiple times, as I was still being scheduled in as a regular client. When a referral could have been easily sent, I was told to go to the ER for them to check me into the Early Pregnancy Unit at South Health. I had called the unit myself, and they had told me this could have been done while I was on the phone the first time. I had called the midwife team I was assigned to, explained for a 4th time, was told I would be referred as I was dealing with complications and had concerns - nothing. I hope this helps anyone from having to deal with this same issue, as a woman does not need repeated reminders during a time like this. Working in an office job myself, I know clients can slip through the cracks, or errors can be made, but having to do it 4 times is completely unnecessary. I would have had to explain for a 5th time given the owner had called me and left a voicemail.

Little did I know that I was going to be placed on the most incredible midwife team. Kimberley, Ali and Caroline were everything I could’ve asked for and more. I felt so safe, supported and important. Kimberley went above and beyond for me. I will always refer my good friends and family to this safe space. Aurora will forever hold a special place in my heart. Thank you again for everything.

Beth was our primary Midwife with Hayley & Charlotte joining the team around the 8 month mark. They were all wonderful. Beth was extremely supportive, knowledgable, non-judgemental, friendly and available whenever I had a question or concern. I felt comfortable with her and confident in her abilities from beginning to end. Being able to have post natal visits at home, breastfeeding support when I couldn't get my little guy to latch, and the ability to reach a midwife 24/7 via pager are some of the top reasons we will definitely be applying to Aurora again in future. I had my first child 11 years ago with regular medical care and it was a horrible experience, so with my second baby I wanted something different. So glad Aurora Midwifery came into my life! I had Team 5 (Nicole and Krista). Nicole was an amazing support during my Hyperemesis Gravidarum, she kept tabs on me, gave me great advice and made sure that me and my baby stayed overall healthy through that horrible sickness. Krista was my main midwife in my later pregnancy and my birth and I am so grateful for her. I had a 9lb 3oz baby completely naturally in a pandemic with her support, encouragement and care. She was awesome with my hubby in helping him understand everything that was happening and she brought my baby boy into this world. I strongly recommend Aurora to any expectant moms!!! Thank you Nicole and Krista, you are both the best!!!

It was my first experience using a midwife team instead of a regular OB practice and I wish I had choice Aurora for my past 2 pregnancies. Never in my life did I think that I could do a home birth with no epidural but after discussing options with Kimberly I saw how informative she was with home births and felt completely confident I could do it. I wouldn't have been able to get through it without the support of Kim, Hope and their student Nessa. They were so gentle and encouraging when I wanted to give up. They gave me strength and confidence and it was an amazing experience! Thank you so much Kimberly, you have an amazing practice and I was lucky to have you as my midwife!

With every appointment, we left feeling valued and listened to while being offered tons of helpful advice and information. Having Charlotte and Hayley come to our house days after having our son was so helpful and allowed us all to rest and recover. We will be advocating for Midwifery care to all of our pregnant friends and family. We are so thankful for Aurora for making our first birthing experience such a safe and positive experience!

They even assisted us with 3 home births that were both peaceful and comforting. My kids went to sleep and woke up the next morning to meet there new siblings. Great job Midwife’s!
