K	Kim Trinh on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've always enjoyed Asian Legend. They make delicious food. This location on Don Mills was the first I've visited. We asked for a table and they offered us a table next to a family ( literally it feels like you are siting the next seat over at the movie theatre). We told them that's very close and not even 1 meter apart. The public health standard is minimum 2 meters apart. The waiter( could possible be the manager) abruptly rebuked us and said " No, it's either we sit there are go elsewhere", we asked if we can take a seat on the other side of the restuarant which was empty, he replied " that area is closed", very rudely. We had left the restaurant but it wasn't a good feeling being yelled at. I won't be coming back. Customer service needs training and they need to keep up with Toronto Public Health pandemic requirements.

I will be returning, as the food was great, but we were given the wrong order. were in the area and decided to stop by, order take-out, and bring it home for dinner. Despite there being zero people in the dining area, we were told the wait would be 30-45 minutes, and they’d call us when ready. We left, returning 30 minutes later. We asked if it was ready. He said yes, and he was going to call us when it was. But it was ready and sitting there and no call. He takes our receipt and looks at the receipt of the bags filled with food. Then takes receipt off food and hands us two bags filled with dishes. We get home, to find it’s not our order! I should have checked before leaving…oh well, next time. Like I said before, the food was delicious, despite it not being what was ordered. I’m sure someone else will be enjoying my Dan Dan noodles, spicy beef, and chicken. Maybe next time I’ll get to try those for myself! Lol.

Nonetheless, the service was on point and they haven't lost their step from lockdowns. My favorite was the pork soup dumplings, salted fish fried rice, fish maw soup and the beef-green-onion pancake ?? The portions were great, considering we couldn't finish it all. A great place to start trying real Chinese cuisine for those who are looking to break open their taste buds

When i entered the restaurant on February 24, 2022 around 4:45 p.m. the personal was doing something on the cash machine. I said hi and told him my order number. He looked at me with strange eyes and kept doing what he did. After sometime he asked again what is your number. I told him again. He continue staring at the cash machine like before. He asked me again for the number after sometime. I can see the food is right there ready but he was taking time. Another person acme out of the kitchen and told him something and than he gave the food to me. When he gave me the food, i was telling him gently why you kept the food there and not giving me right away when i was telling you the number at the first time. By the way there was no guest in the restaurant at that time. He was telling, "oh you don't want to wait" I said i can wait if the food is not ready but i don't like to wait if food is ready but you keep e waiting. My time is waisted. I can earn based on the delivery not based on the wait. When i stepped out from the restaurant he put the rating low. My little advise to the restaurant workers. I understand your frustration with current situation but Uber eat is not easy too. We face very cold weather, slippery roads and careful delivery unlike you in the nice and hot restaurant. The food should be prepared with love and dignity for the customers. Not with anger and disappointment. Customers should know food in this restaurant is not prepared with love but rather with anger.

Also, one of our friends asked the waitress to make her meal less spicy, and the waitress told her to write it down(poor customer service). Food was good. More than likely won't return due to customer relations. The 2 star rating is because the food was good.

We decided to go with takeout and dine-in another time. Staff directed us to the bar area to review the menu. Our order was a Ma Po Tofu, Braised Pork & Preserved Vegetables, plus a Cantonese Chow Mein. First, the meal was good but the noticeable thing with the chow mein was the sauce being too runny; it should have be thickened with more corn starch. Second, my wife is sensitive to MSG and her senses were indicating too much MSG after consuming our meal. We will still give this place another visit in the future.
